  • At the and he says: "I am the master, I am the music, I adore you all!" - with some pain on his heart.

  • when he sings , angels sigh...

  • One of my all time favourites, sung by the all-time greatest tenor

  • Trop fort

  • Troppo bravo sei sempre con noi

  • Dios santo.

  • Not gonna see another one like him for a while. Wow.

  • Love this song!

  • he's the one and only...

  • pavarotti orgoglio italiano!

  • 9 people still have much, much more to learn about music

  • Brawo, Brawo Brawissimo !!!

  • The best.

  • grandissimo nessuno come lui

  • dwarf conductor ;>

  • Perfeito.

    :)

  • Voice flying above the stars she sings about.

  • My very favorite opera singer of all time! I loved him and will miss him very much!

  • Il migliore!

  • I remember being about 5 years old and completely awed by Pavarotti's performance, appearance and voice...listening to him again here just left me open-mouthed as if it were the first time hearing him.

  • Przepiękna moja ulubiona Aria i wykonawca Pavarotti - cudo!!!

  • :O

  • divine!

  • when i was a child, a friend of my parents gave me a cassette he made himself with the audio play of "le petit prince" on it for my birthday. after the play, there was this song on the cassette. i loved it since i was little and i still do :)

  • @MsDoubleChoc Beautiful words...

  • The beauty of Opera. I wish more people were more sensitive

  • A wonderful rendition by a wonderful singer. Comparing singers is always dicy but I will say that Bjoerling has a pensive timbre in his voice that suits this aria perfectly. and so I prefer Bjoerling's version. This comment is not to denigrte Pavarotti's performance what-so-ever.

Merci Luciano!

  • DU WARST UND BLEIBST DER BESTE !!!

    vitomessana.de

  • Bravíssimooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!

Eu choro toda vez que eu ouço!!!!!!!!

    Uma obra prima!

  • LE MAÎTRE !!!

    LE BOSS !!!

    THE BESt !!!

  • Great that Luciano showed Domingo how a LONG difficult note 2:22 has to be sung!! Domingo SUCKS regularily at this part. Domingo is by far the better actor with more movings and emotions, but afaik opera is mainly singing. :)

  • Lucky the one who did see this live !!! Amazing!!

  • Loved and missed

  • Favoloso

  • puccini creates great stars.

  • >Te extrañamos Luciano!!!

  • Fantastico Maestro Pavarotti!! you are an inspiration for us, the new tenors generation.

  • voce meravigliosa.ma e' tutto cosi' scontato....

  • weltklasse nr. 1

  • UNICO

  • I wanna sing this!!!!, doesnt matter if it sounds ugly, and the way as musnt be sung, but sing this jewely piece deserves to be sung. Listen it, feeling it, just a WooooW, dont you think youtubers?...also with recondita armonia

  • Great ,Bravo Maestro!!!

  • magnifique !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm crying at the opening strings because I know what is coming. A sublime voice.

  • MAMMA MIA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cannot stop the tears ...

  • @fahuudy try rigoletto, the barber of seville

  • I am very new to opera music. Is there any happy, optimistic, or positive opera works that you suggest for me?

    Thank you

  • @fahuudy The Marriage of Figgaro, The daughter of the Regiment.

  • @fahuudy Cosi Fan Tutti, Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, and Le Comte Ory.

  • Unbelievable

  • Mitico, unico, PAVAROTTI !!

  • maestosso! grandissimo maestro

  • look at the minut 3:09 ... This often causes Puccini's arias!

  • ah! Viva Puccini!!!!

  • Sublimo , perfeto, exceptionnel , bravo maestro !!!

  • well think about it. oviusly must be a difference from the year of this video.. but just 3 years (before his death), oviusly he known so much more how to make this song.

watch his emotions.... at the end. i'm italian and i assure you that i can understeand ALL THAT HE SAYS. i just want to say that (is a little difference from who doesn't know the italian language). especcialy domingo. He was really a very good master to be able to sing on italian language.but domingo is a master to learn italian

  • @andreaparenti006 (I mistyped the last words)

i wanted to say that the words that an italian person can says on italian language are

with so much more significance. i'm saying that becouse only who can compleatley understeand this language can really think about these words on the song. The italian country have more dialects than any other country, so i don't think that domingo (very good singer) can understeand all that words.

i'm happy only becouse i can understeand all. is very very special

  • He has been the best singer the world has ever seen!

  • oh my god, i'm crying like the old lady at the end..

  • in this opera i prefer domingo

  • you mean that domingo is the best right????

    spiacente mio italiano grossolani.

  • Is he a tenor?

  • I agree at 2:37 I thought the emotion was going to be too much for him. I love Pavarotti. The only critisism I can give is I think Mario Lanza gave a more emotional performance of Vesti La Guibba. But thats only my view.

  • quasi piange... ecco cos'è un artista..

  • Why do people say Pavarotti lacked emotion in his singing? At 2:37, he's trying to hold his tears back.

  • I agree and the only reason he didnt show as much emotion on the beginning of the song is because he is following exactly as the story is going he doesnt start feeling deep emotion until he hits the phrase of never loving life more

  • This is my favourite at this moment. So much pain!

  • Outstanding performance!

  • Wspaniale!

  • The Pav is my favorite and will always be, but did anyone else catch the smallest of pitch problems he had at 1:38-1:39 or was it just my ear? I only ask because I have heard this song hundreds of times and it's the first time that caught my attention?:)

  • Yeah, that sounds like a recording issue .. defective VCR tape most probably

  • Perfection... my very favorite aria!

    Quite simply and without reservation,

Luciano Pavarotti is the greatest singer

the world has ever known! ~ Dell Yount.

  • I like it very much, but I prefer Placido in this aria.

  • Nobody can sing this aria like he did!

  • What an emotions Luciano demonstrate in his voice when he sung this song. the emotions are very deep and touching.

  • i am crying

  • nn morirai mai starai sempre nei nostri cuori

  • There is no equal. Thanks so much for posting!

  • I just cannot watch or listen to this without tears flowing from my eyes...Not only Luciano was insurmuntable in his delivery, but the story of Tosca as well...Cavardossi realizes he is going to die and states his dream of love has vanished and he is dieing a desperate man, now that he truly loved being alive... intense, truly, Opera is the total opposite of Hollywood, a happy ending is just not an option

  • well said Fab

    well said

  • @fabsternyc man... neither do I. This aria make me aaahahaha! Without words!

  • There are no words to describe how wonderful he is.
