  • I already admired you a lot, but after you've met a god on earth will have become much more devout! u.u

  • ahahahahahahah

    so cool and funny

  • I wish that were still true about Youtube and freedom of info kind of thing. Now you can only post certain things.... :(

  • "I'm Neil Gaiman and I'm really sorry." The comment of the year.

  • Holy crap. Neil Gaiman sounds like my Physics teacher

  • lucky you

  • Sort of. Its a blessing and a curse, as I fall asleep a great deal in Physics class

  • @Pitchelyn

    Then I'm jealous, I adore Neil's voice : ]

  • Yeah nice guy...how about passing the artist who created Marvelman a couple of bucks pal?....how about you stop desperately rubbishing Alan Moore cos you know his Marvelman scripts have been snatched out of your grasp and ole MM is about to be resurrected?...

  • Well he did write a Batman comic recently,

    Sorry I know it's a lame joke.

  • Neil freaking Gaiman! Haha, did anyone find the bat training video?

  • Gaiman usually seems to post as neilhimself, you can find the bat training vid posted from that user at any rate. Also, I believe that he uses the same handle on hig blog...

  • "The democracy of YouTube"? Unfortunately not, not if YouTube keeps censoring everything that people put up there.

  • Hey, this interview was done WAY back in the past.... 2007. Before Google started to fear the corps, courts and lobbies.

  • god i cant seem to find american gods anywhere...any hints?

  • I heart Stardust.

  • he's a genius

  • SANDMAN ROCKS

  • true, so true

  • ; __ ; He's one of the living writers I look up to.

  • Hes very very british, just his mannerisms. his accent's a bit dodgy though, all that time in bloody America. COME TO AUSTRALIA NEIL.

  • "bloody America," eh?

  • Sorry. I think I must have been in one of those tiresome "I Hate America" moods.

    Forget I ever said it.

  • No ill will. It's just that when you see a comment demeaning Americans on every other video you watch, it gets to you.

You think I want to be here in the south? I'm so insecure, I can't take being associated with mediocrity and small-mindedness all of my life.

  • to holtaprid

Wow, try being black for a year. You'd fucking hate it =P.

  • Whoa, he's getting old. But that's ok. Still love you and your works, Neil!

  • Still sexy. Just saying.

  • thank you for this :)

  • haa haa good stuff

  • Hey man, if you're cheering on new media, check out my video, The Network. It's a two part action/comedy sketch that's all about the old media vs the new.

  • so true....youtube has videos of everything you can PSSIBLY imagine..except for one thing ofcourse and you all know what that is..hahaha

  • HELL YEAH for new media!

  • Wow, were you holding the camera? It was really shaky.

  • HELL YEAH for new media!

  • haha Great intro

  • AHHH!

I first discovered him when I read Coraline...dude, that's a children's book, and I was scared out of my mind!

  • That book creeped the crap out of me.

    Really loved it.

And jesus christ that hand, oh my god.

  • How many thousand? lol

  • Neil Gaiman is God!!!! The Sandman is the most amazing of comics and Good Omens is the best collab in the world.

  • You are really working hard to get all of these up...are you sleeping at all?

  • *laughs* I love the Legend title. Because he is. He so is.

  • I second Wyrd's jealousy comment. Ironically, Neil made an appearance at the local Barnes and Noble store to promote Wolves in the Walls...IN FLORIDA A MONTH AFTER WE MOVED. Ahem. We got my son to go wait in line, get the book signed and take a pic. Not the same as face to face.

  • Awesome Dude!

  • i fucking LOVE neil gaiman!! this totally made my fucking week!

  • Ok, well thank you for the recommendations great Bluntman :D I hope my library here in good ol' US of A has the book.

  • If your local Library doesn't have a complete collection of Niel Gaiman's stuff... it's time to find a new library.

  • awsome :P

  • You know... this is the ONLY part of ComicCon I was envying you on. I truly hate you now.

  • Neat that you were able to talk to him and that he understands YouTube. Lots of people watch it - more than will admit to it! :0) Maria

  • oh man. i have no idea who this dude is.

    my dad does, though.

  • Sandman. That is all.

  • blunty must have had a big grinn smacked in his face while doing this =F

  • I did, despite mt attempts to retain an air of professionalism :)

  • WOWOWOW< i wish i was there

  • Great job Blunty. Been a big fan of Neil's books for a while, and it's great to see he in-braces the internet community. I am very jealous and can't wait to see what other legends you much of gotten to talk to while there.

  • Looks like i'm going to have to chase up Neil Gaiman's books. I honestly don't know how I missed him.

    BTW good interview Blunty :D

  • Neil Gaiman is a fucking LEGEND!!! Fuckin' wicked, BROTHAAAAAA!!!!! :-D

  • Niel Gaiman is so freaking cool.

  • That was very interesting, in a good way.

  • Wow Blunty, my envy for you right now is....well....it's ineffable. ;)

  • awsome.

Is the sound and video out slightly or is it just my poor conection?

  • AHHH! I've been waiting for this all day!! *BEAM* reading anansi boys right now... can't wait for Stardust... Sandman Series was my first taste of graphic novels which is still and I think always will be my favorite!! okay, I'll stop gushing and get back to schoolwork...

oh. and next time you hit SD honey, I'm going to be a stowaway in your luggage! just thought you should know.

  • Sandman was my first, too!! So tell me, did your sweetie recommend it? Mine did. :) First thing I ever read of Neil's and then I went out an devoured everything I could find.

  • Crap, the above was me, not him. I forgot to log into my account.

  • HELL YEAH!!

    And happy belated Bday!

  • Thanks :)

  • Awesome

  • I had a nerdgasm.

  • nono, footage of the con' at large is coming probably around this time tomorrow. :)

  • great thxs blunty

  • HELL YEAH FOR NEW MEDIA! =D

  • He-- Yeah! you figure out the rest LOL

  • ZOMGZ! You met Neil Gaiman... *melts into a puddle*

he is... like ... god... I probably couldn't even talk to him. I'd just be like "you make pretty."

  • Yeah, I know.. hehe, listen to me stumble over my words :P

  • at least you had words... upon deeper thought i probably would have made strange grunting noises ;) Can't wait to see more Comicon footage :D

  • "someone out there" with a slight gleeful inflection in your voice. haha.

He does end on a good and important note.

  • HELL YEAH!

  • bat training.... interesting.

  • lol this is awesome, but who is Neil Gaiman? anyway this is awesome and I'm so happy you got lots of footage!

  • "Who is Niel Gaiman" ???? holy crap dude, please be joking!?

  • At just 13 years old I think I can forgive you. He's an author, science fiction and fantasy, short stories and novels, graphic novels, comics, and films. He is a legend. Try a novel called "good omens" for a good taste of him (and one of my other fave authors, Terry Pratchett. You'll love it.

  • Blunty, don't recommend that! For your first taste of Gaiman, try his light-novel "Coraline". Its like a step into a sweet, sweet addictive drug...ARGH YOU LUCKY AUSTRALIAN!!!

  • Hey it was MY first taste of Gaiman, at around the same age too, little older maybe... it was just after my addiction to Pratchett. :)

  • I really liked Neverwhere and now I also really want to read American Gods but havent gotten around to it.

  • you are teh greatest person ive ever met NEIL GAIMAN FOR THE GODDAMN WIN

  • Coraline is maybe a bit too young for a 13-year-old... I'd say Stardust or Sandman

  • 1st view, comment, and rate wow!
