Too bad most of those games you mentioned are also on PS3 and come on, it's a fact xbox had a lacklustre titles in 2011 while PS3 has twisted metal, sly cooper, the last of us, starhawk and the last guardian already ready for 2012. And nintendo needs to do more new ip's. Mario, Zelda, Kirby. etc is getting old.

I want to get the ps3 fat 80 gb and I have read that there is a power switch on the back and touch sensitive power and eject buttons on the front. For the power in the back, could you just leave it on or would you have to turn the power button off in the back every time you quit playing? I would like it if I could just hit the button in the front to turn it off and on or would I have to do the switch in the back? I have a tight spaced area so this kind of matters to me. Thanks!

@101nob101 It depends on which model of the PS3 you get. According to my research, the only models of the PS3 that support PS2 games are the 20, 60, and 80 GB that were released back in 2006-2007. These were the first batch of PS3s made available to the public, and Sony does not make them anymore, which might make them harder to find. However, if you can find one, it would probably be a good deal.
my opinions, I own the Xbox 360, I have to go with the PS3 this time, durability wise its amazing, but when it comes to the 360 its not as durable, it breaks and over heats easily, The Xbox has some great games but a majority of them are on the PS3, a few that aren't is Halo and Gears of War (practically dead).

Only the old 60gb ps3 phat. They are pretty rare because they were only sold for a limited time. They go around for $400 because of the memory stick inputs.
Though I think you would rather get a slim for $199 with 120g and use a ps2 for ps2 games.

The only big problem the PS3 has is the YLOD which is a 2% chance to obtain on your ps3. Hackers never occur to steal my mods and I'm very happy with my ps3. The Xbox has hackers also if PSN does, and RROD has a 15% chance to hit your Xbox. And as he said, even back in 2007 the features are much better than xbox. And also with new updates there are new features like video editer, and even in 2007 they didn't have internet search on 360 up to now, where ps3 does. PS3 FTW!

@Theplacetogo Dude the RROD was down to 4% on Jasper chip sets. The RROd is completly gone now. The only thing Microsoft needs to fix is the AC adapter because thats whats failing not the console. That was the majority of the xbox's problem. I shouldnt say the RROD isnt completley gone because i would think theres about a 2% chance of it happening on the slim. But hey both consoles are great i prefer Xbox always have. But in the end were all gamers. --Peace

@arbernart u go to settings then scroll down to network settings and click conect and click scan on wireless and hit automatic then when you find yor internet connection name connect too it and put your password and you should be all set hope i helped
@arbernart set up the connection for your ps3 by going to settings>network settings>internet connection settings>easy>wireless>scan>choose your network>press right on dpad>choose the etwork security u put on it if not just put none>type your password in>press right >then let it connect > press x >test your connection>and press o :D hope i helped u

The most important thing about a console is the controller and Sony consistently gives idiot PS3 owners the worst controller ever,two joysticks at the bottom is so buffoonery.While our controllers(XBOX 360) has not only separated joysticks,but their really comfortable for your thumbs.Everyone stick with XBOX 360,your thumbs will thank you.

@MicDizzle2 nah not really i always lose circulation on that big piece of shit they call a controller i dont mind xbox 360 as i do have one but i also have a ps3 which is my preffered option by far as their controller is brilliant i have cot attachments for the analogue sticks and also trigger attachments but ps3 controller is VERY VERY good and always has been

guys I don't wanna sound like a fan boy or anything and I actually don't have xbox360 or ps3 but I am getting one of them in 4 months can someone pls help me choose...I like playing FPS(first person shooter) games and I heard xbox360 is better for smoother gaming and I like talking to my team while playing and I don't think ps3 has people talking to each other like xbox gamers....also does the original ps3 have blu-ray????? and can the xbox360 atleast play dvd's????

@FuriousCracKKer i have a 360, its ok but im thinking about selling it and getting a ps3 because there are alot of better things on the ps3. and yes the 360 plays dvd's but you have to waste money on a hd player. and you also have to waste money on a wifi connector, and you also have to waste money to play online. so i think the ps3 is better.

Only the old 60gb ps3 phat. They are pretty rare because they were only sold for a limited time. They go around for $400 because of the memory stick inputs.
Though I think you would rather get a slim for $199 with 120g and use a ps2 for ps2 games.

The only big problem the PS3 has is the YLOD which is a 2% chance to obtain on your ps3. Hackers never occur to steal my mods and I'm very happy with my ps3. The Xbox has hackers also if PSN does, and RROD has a 15% chance to hit your Xbox. And as he said, even back in 2007 the features are much better than xbox. And also with new updates there are new features like video editer, and even in 2007 they didn't have internet search on 360 up to now, where ps3 does. PS3 FTW!

@Theplacetogo Dude the RROD was down to 4% on Jasper chip sets. The RROd is completly gone now. The only thing Microsoft needs to fix is the AC adapter because thats whats failing not the console. That was the majority of the xbox's problem. I shouldnt say the RROD isnt completley gone because i would think theres about a 2% chance of it happening on the slim. But hey both consoles are great i prefer Xbox always have. But in the end were all gamers. --Peace

360 can be alot better with online games, but honestly ive had both, and the connection for my ps3 and 360 are basically the same, plus games like uncharted, mgs4, and little big planet would never be able to be done on the 360. 360 has been becoming less and less appealing over the years, pumping out the same halo and gears games. although crackdown 2, looks good and alan wake was good

im glad i got rid of my 360 and moved onto the ps3 (: only thing i miss in the bigger and better community xbox live has. other than that free online play? fuck yessssss. inlcuding that the 360 Exclusives and the series like Halo are being dragged on to extinction... they should of left it go after 3. its a great series but comeon no need to wreck it. ps3 is the gooo now (: cant wait for GT5!!!!!!

@arbernart set up the connection for your ps3 by going to settings>network settings>internet connection settings>easy>wireless>scan>choose your network>press right on dpad>choose the etwork security u put on it if not just put none>type your password in>press right >then let it connect > press x >test your connection>and press o :D hope i helped u
