There's a lot that I admire about Yates as a competitor. No his physique wasn't 'pretty', but he was chiseled, dry, massive and up until that point something the fans of pro BB had never seen before on a pro stage.

But I'd be ripping any competitor if they won a major show like the Olympia with a torn bicep.

Once you see it, you can't stop looking at it and the injury destroys a competitor's symmetry IMO.

@bigstink9 A torn bicep is only really visible in 1 out of the mandatory poses,yet a torn pec is visible in at least 4-5 poses & that would be a liabilty,a torn bicep isnt,if he lost the front double biceps pose he would win all the rest so he'd still of won the olympia but I suppose your point is valid

Dorian had the best skeletal structure and rightly won his O's. The only other guys I can think of without structural flaws are Coleman, Bannout, and Cutler. Oh...Coleman's calves were terribly weak.

@toguro90 I mean his bone sructure was perfectly symmetrical. Everything was in sync with each other. His Bi's and quads for example. Neither overpowered the other as far as muscle groups as well as joints and bones. It's kinda hard for me to fully describe. Long story short...look at Shawn Ray's quads. His legs are too short compared to his torso and he has narrow clavicles. On the other hand you have Danny Padilla. 5' 2" with an impeccable structure.

I will never understand what the Shawn Ray fans were looking at. Yes...Dorian has a torn left bicep...bid deal. Not only is he much larger than Shawn, but he also has better definition. This dude was amazing. And Ronnie...yes, he was bigger, but he was never as cut.

@KidBers i'm a big fan of Ronnie, but condition was never his biggest asset. Sure, his best conditions were in those years - he got too bloated over the years, favored mass instead of condition. He got very full muscles, but never sharp and hard look.

Dorian, on the other hand, looked as he was carved out of stone. Look at the separation of his legs! 95 was his best year. The only Mr. O that comes to my mind who had a better conditioning than Dorian was Frank Zane. But Dorian had the size too.

@KidBers I see your point. In 92, 93 and 95 Dorian won, hands down. 94 and 96 are debatable. But one thing is for sure, he shouldn't have won the 97 Mr O. He came in that year with an awful condition. There were better competitors that year. And yes, Ronnie was incredible in 2003! Ronnie got way bigger than Dorian, that's a fact. But still, Dorian, in 95 for instance, had muscle hardness that Ronnie could never match. Cheers!

Go back into the olympia & you'll see all that arnold really had was size yet he lacked Legs but is still held in the highest esteem
