  • I love the Jeff Beck Esquire. I have seen Nash's version, and decided I wanted something that more closely matched the look of the Fender Custom Shop, but fit my needs in terms of neck, hardware, and pickups.

  • Now all you need is a Tonebender and you're all set.

    I love this guitar!

  • great sound!!!!!!!!

  • geez that actually was a really nice jazz tone, on a tele!!

  • Is the Jeff Beck esquire the thinner model?

  • Thats a good one. I unfortunately bought a fatback neck nash tele on ebay a few years ago, and it was terrible. it didnt play good and it was very very thin and was incredibly heavy. but, will try again, its hard to find one where i live and try it out, and i am particular to butterscotch. I have two friends that have 2 underwoods.each.great guitars but expensive and a long wait.

  • Very nice but I can't see any virtue in losing the neck pick up which can be so sweet if you get a good one - and for Strat lovers the combination of bridge and neck can almost leave you thinking you're playing one.

  • Cool..what sort of amp are you using?

  • thanks...thats custom vox ac-30 type head...made by the legendary robert hinson of memphis...thru a 1 x15 cab...i used a compressor to keep the sound fat at low volume..

  • Great demo . I love the look and sound of that guitar. I don't see any JB 54 Nash's for sale right now , Maybe he only made a few. Nice touch on the guitar. Thanks for the video.

  • your style is more like gibsonn 335 like

  • hey...yes..it bypasses EVERYTHING..in bridge position....quite a jump in volume too,,,,when i first got it, i thought it was broke..till i figured it out....thanks

  • hey,

does the bridge position on the switch really bypass the volume as well as the tone? traditionally it's just that tone that gets bypassed isn't?

    staggering guitar though, congrats

  • Nash's are the absolute best. The other relic companies (including Fender themselves) feel like new guitars you took some sandpaper to, but Bill's stuff is magic. Have the real sound and feel of a played in guitar the moment you pick it up. They are truly incredible...and I own a lot of the originals so I can say that!!!!

  • i dont know how he does it...but his teles are the best....very tight fit..set up perfect.....incredible feel....i wish i knew where he gets his necks from....!..hes an excellent guitarist, which really helps, i'm sure...i put some high dollar scatterwound pickups in one nash tele i have and it made it go over the moon....sounds so much like roy's tele that its scary...

  • I love my beck, 7 / 75.

One of the few he did in Mary Kay.

Most Nash guitars are top notch. Recently he has gotten sloppy with his weathering to the point it looks like the factory did it, hopefully he reverts to his expertise.

  • hi,...thanks for writing...#6 is on ebay now for 1450.....i have a 50's nash with a big nice neck..white...with p90 in neck...i like it best of all of the ones i've tried..

  • I've never played a Nash. They seem great. The video I posted is a Vintique Esquire built by Jay Monterose. If you can get one they're great. Never found I needed other pickups. A great amp and the volume and tone controls have given me just about everything I need.

  • Regarding the hidden pickup, one of the first things I did when I received it was to lift off the p-guard. It exposed what I think is a Fender pickup right where you would would find the neck p/u on a regular Tele. It's right up aginst the p-guard, in fact it pushes the p-guard up sliglty though it's not really noticeable. It's not quite as lively as other Tele neck p/u's and lacks just a hair in volume, again.. hardly noticeable. An absolutely amazing playing and sounding guitar.

  • congrats americanbus, i am the proud owner of #28. bill nash actualy started with a limited run of 25 then upped it to 75. I love mine. I play it through a 76 Marshall with a Soul Bender and a treble booster. that pickup really screams.

  • hey man...i'd love to see some of the other ones...i dont know if he made 75 yet...probably not...mine sounds great thru anything you plug it in to,,,i played beale street with the nash and a little fender champion 600..couldnt beat the sound...that pickup is godlike...even though duncan doesnt have the boutique reputation, with some dorks..

  • I just got a Nash Esquire. It's the one with the hidden neck p/u under the pickguard where you would find on on a tele. Mine is wired very different than yours, and an amazingly versatile guitar with tones ranging from mellow jazzy to twangy honkey-tonk. Mine is shoreline gold with white p-guard and plays like a million bucks....Wow! Nice Demo.

  • hey..i always wondered how those hidden neck pickups work,,i wish i had more nash guitars...but i'm glad just to have this one..

  • This sound is so awesome i just keep coming back to this video.

  • i love it...

  • Best demo ever! I have to buy this guitar now.

  • you wont regret it..!!..i cant think of a better tele than mine..they may all vary somewhat.not sure...mine is the only one i've seen...i bought it sight unseen...

  • Concidering your level of playing and my love for teles....I have no choice but to listen to your advice.lol

  • Cool.

  • Great Demo!
