If conviction is evidence of existence, then all God's exist. Also, they didn't spit on him because, unlike the man preaching, the children have ethical standards. Very true that family is a mess with divorce; churches must repent to not support divorce. Those problems still do not give the right to anybody to seducate, correct, or train someone else's child. The Bible does not give conditions for honoring the mother and father: Just honor them. So as Christians, we need to honor their parents by leaving those children alone, especially when involved in lieu of school.

I am positive some of them would come to a Youth service with music or a church geared toward them....try to find a Youth Pastor somewhere who can come with you to invite them...all those kids could have been invited. Some of them would have showed up. I am positive of it.
Kids are the easiest to lead to Christ, the adults are the hardest hearted. I had an entire witches coven come against me in my old neighborhood cuz I was trying to evangelize everybody. Had 700 people praying 5 kids saved.

I've done lots of volunteer and paid work with kids/teenagers, some of thier parents are pagan worshippers, it is much more prevelent now, than ever before. They took God out of the schools, a long time ago. Let me say this tho: they are all searching for the truth, those who stayed to argue and talk and listen to you, otherwise, they would have just left. (just like you said). Is there any chance you can invite them to church? some of them would go to church with a youth group. Get them there.

Yes, this generation of kids are the most unchurched. Did you know many have not even heard BIBLE stories let alone about Jesus Christ? its sad. They need to hear the truth BE SURE TO REMIND THEM HOW MUCH JESUS LOVES THEM, they do not hear this enough, not enough at all.
