Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for this! What I would not have given to see this live too! What a voice! What absolute pleasure it is to listen to her!
This is fast becoming one of my favorite interpretations of EXSULTATE JUBILATE. Ms. Damrau is maturing into an all-around incredible soprano. Her mellifluous tone, liquid phrasing, silky and precise trills, and treatment of the text are perfect for 18th-century music.
Diana Damrau is my absolute favorite person on the face of the earth. I'm trying really hard to go see her in Hamlet in Washington, DC. She rocks my world. Thank you so much for all your fantastic videos!
Wonderful performance as usual. I prefer "Tu virginum" at a slower tempo, but that's personal preference. In the "Alleluja", Damrau sounded uncannily like Edith Mathis in some of her coloratura...clean, precise, and the color was the same, although Edith never had Damrau's glittering top voice. Stunning performance. (Nice shout out there, Lilith!)
Brilliant - she has a heavenly voice and is the perfect Mozart soprano!

Why isn't this wonderful Madrid recital commercially available?
What are they holding back?

@Cissy97 They are not 'holding it back'... It was publicly broadcast on the radio for free.

I would not just mention 'voice', for every one has a voice.
Damrau, to me, IS the BEST coloratura soprano around singing TODAY.
Hark my words!
