The Red Guitars were indeed better wth Jerry, although I seem to recall that he launched a very shortlived solo career ( his one single release languishing in the bargain box at Langlands record shop for months) before sinking without trace...
One of my all time fave love songs...or is it ? A love song I mean ? Or about possessiveness ? Much better that Sting's Every Breathe You Take that's for sure !
l have got to say john rowley has always been a beacon for the common man..he once beat up a midget for "not walking tall" and he set fire to a transvestite for useing the wrong shade of eyeshadow..he was just one of lifes gents.a keen animal rights activist, john was the first to discover that if you burn a monkey with a cigarette it will try and bite you.
awwwe I loved the Red Guitars and this song in particular was part of the inspiration behind a novella I wrote about a girl called Candyfloss Daydream.. gorgeous song.. thanks for sharing... xx

@cruyffianslip Was this the same Candyfloss Daydream that could do that amazing thing with a water melon and a pack of cigarettes?
