this music is frickin epic my first time wayching dark city was when i was baked and that fight at the end i was speechless this music and the fight was excellent
They used this in the X-Men (2000) movie trailer, Desperate Measure w/ Michael Keaton vs Andy Garcia, and the movie Dreamcatcher when Morgan Freeman was in the attack chopper killing the aliens.
@jmac0415 I know it from the PT Boomer chase scene! It's on YouTube, look it up. It's basically the only footage we've been allowed to see of a villain that was cut from Thomas and the Magic Railroad for being too scary.
@PrototypeAndroid Michael Bay is good and deserves the spotlight, but so do Trevor Jones. IT fucking sucks. Hes not popular, BUT HIS MUSIC IS FUCKING AMAZING. Im adicted to it.
If this movie had better action sequences, it would have had so much better reception by the public. For instance, the highlight of this track is him having a laser battle with an old man that was incredibly boring.
The best part is around 1:45, it's way too short though!
I think quite a few turn of the century movie trailers used this as BGM and I hadn't heard it outside of trailers; so I thought it was specifically trailer music until I saw the movie last year!
It's rare that a movie turns out to be alot bigger than the commercials and general look of it disspells!
Trivia: the same composer (Christopher Drake) did the soundtrack for the "Batman: Under the Red Hood" animated film, some of it sounds very similar to this.
vagrant story sucks dick. this piece is supposed to in context with the character being able to transform the environment. the horn blairs coincide with the city scape jutting out from the ground. lmao vagrant story jap video game pales in comparison to this.
After seeing this movie (just watched it for the first time last night), I would be totally cool with Alex Proyas doing an Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) or Earthbound (Mother in Japan) movie, only if he had Trevor Jones doing the score and having Proyas direct the same way he did this movie. I'd praise him for doing it, it would be criminal if anyone else did it.
This song is amazing, I keep hearing it in my head long after the movie had ended. Truly the sign of a great composer.
So this is that song that I kept on hearing on everything! lol Seriously though the soundtrack to this movie is great....I'm a big movie soundtrack buff so I definitely have to get this one!
0:27 to 0:40 is the best part of the whole piece :D love that little riff that constantly plays

@xNickTheBrickx Disagree. If this movie had Murdoch doing stunts and flips and dodging bullets, then it would just be the Matrix.
