  • 0:27 to 0:40 is the best part of the whole piece :D love that little riff that constantly plays

  • Found it on the Unreal 2 map (Grey Matter), Now I want to see the movie

  • 2 persons are deafts and they didnt saw this movie

  • Holy shit I just watched the movie and it's sooo good. The music is crazy good too... thanks for the upload

  • Very distinct soundtrack.

  • This track is the ultimate "plotting your revenge" theme EVER!

  • This track is a symphony on its own. Kick assage, awe and emotivity, all in 12 minutes of fantastic movie music!

  • I fucking love the intro to this score, it sends chills of epic proportions down my spine every time!

  • this music is frickin epic my first time wayching dark city was when i was baked and that fight at the end i was speechless this music and the fight was excellent

  • The score to Ryan Vs Dorkman!

  • MY FAV THANKS

  • I think any composer that wants to even begin to make epic-sounding music has to listen to this track and take lots of notes.

  • They used this in the X-Men (2000) movie trailer, Desperate Measure w/ Michael Keaton vs Andy Garcia, and the movie Dreamcatcher when Morgan Freeman was in the attack chopper killing the aliens.

  • @jmac0415 I know it from the PT Boomer chase scene! It's on YouTube, look it up. It's basically the only footage we've been allowed to see of a villain that was cut from Thomas and the Magic Railroad for being too scary.

  • this reminds me of the music in marvel nemesis

  • It makes me wanna watch the film just by listening to the music.

  • This fitted so well in the x-men trailer

  • @ActionMovieBuff What trailer? Tell me!

  • @UnknownThomasFan30 Go type X-men 2000 trailer, it'll come up

  • Didn't that famous youtube lightsaber fight use this music?

  • If you're talking about Ryan vs. Dorkman, then yeah it did.

  • @PrototypeAndroid Michael Bay is good and deserves the spotlight, but so do Trevor Jones. IT fucking sucks. Hes not popular, BUT HIS MUSIC IS FUCKING AMAZING. Im adicted to it.

  • HELLO

  • If this movie had better action sequences, it would have had so much better reception by the public. For instance, the highlight of this track is him having a laser battle with an old man that was incredibly boring.

  • @xNickTheBrickx Disagree. If this movie had Murdoch doing stunts and flips and dodging bullets, then it would just be the Matrix.

  • @poncemon Lol good point

  • What ever happened to great movies like this one?

Good music, good plot, good characters...

  • This gave me shivers running down my spine! :D I loved this scene in the movie!! :D

  • When playing Gears of war the other day I noticed a track that sounded very much like this but I cant seen to find it on the soundtrack hmmmm

  • @kerbal666 You're probably thinking of "Train Wreck", the Locust theme.

  • The best part is around 1:45, it's way too short though!

I think quite a few turn of the century movie trailers used this as BGM and I hadn't heard it outside of trailers; so I thought it was specifically trailer music until I saw the movie last year!

It's rare that a movie turns out to be alot bigger than the commercials and general look of it disspells!

  • Wikileaks should have this as BGM

  • Trivia: the same composer (Christopher Drake) did the soundtrack for the "Batman: Under the Red Hood" animated film, some of it sounds very similar to this.

  • @lovetoeatallthefood Trevor Jones composed the score for "Dark City", if that's what you are referring to.

  • now that's what i call a soundtrack !

  • love this *****5 stars

  • this just beautiful (love this one ...high marks *****5 star

  • This movie has no rivals or peers. It simply......is.

  • I love this track! It was used in a trailer for X-Men (1)!!!

  • @sparktank Yeah, I think it fit the X-men trailer very well!

  • Mister Murdoch. Yes ? Where is he ?

  • Perfect soundtrack !

    And my favorite movie ;)

  • Darkness

  • You know, this movie came out some years before Matrix and the plot is nearly identical.

  • tspoon.

    came out a year before

  • vagrant story sucks dick. this piece is supposed to in context with the character being able to transform the environment. the horn blairs coincide with the city scape jutting out from the ground. lmao vagrant story jap video game pales in comparison to this.

  • man I love this fucking movie its just perfect in every way

  • reminds of Vagrant story battle music

  • OMG. I've been looking for this for a long time. I love this track.

  • u can download this on rapidshare

  • Sounds like star wars...

  • star wars doenst sound so "brutal"

  • When I heard this, I only heard the start of the song, and at the start the trumpets sounded like star wars.

  • this sound nothing like star wars lol how did u that out of this epic music lol george lucas can eat my balls

  • The trumpets at the start of the song sounds like star wars. That's why I said it.

  • nice

  • never get into a fight with me while this song is playing. wait until it ends.

  • After seeing this movie (just watched it for the first time last night), I would be totally cool with Alex Proyas doing an Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) or Earthbound (Mother in Japan) movie, only if he had Trevor Jones doing the score and having Proyas direct the same way he did this movie. I'd praise him for doing it, it would be criminal if anyone else did it.

This song is amazing, I keep hearing it in my head long after the movie had ended. Truly the sign of a great composer.

  • the final fight in the end with the pychic powers still blows my mind the whole film is amazing

  • so does it blow their minds rofl :D

  • The entire score for Dark City is fantastic. The darkness of the music fits perfectly!!!

  • So this is that song that I kept on hearing on everything! lol Seriously though the soundtrack to this movie is great....I'm a big movie soundtrack buff so I definitely have to get this one!

  • I just realized this music was also used in the commercials for Star Wars The Clone Wars season 1 finale. Nice.

  • Trevor Jones composed this piece.

  • who wrote the music for this film?

  • Trevor Jones

  • They also used this in the trailer of the 1st X-Men movie. Great music.

  • OMG THEY DID

  • "We Are The Future Charles...Not Them...They No Longer Matter..."

Every time I hear this song, I think of that line. Epic.

  • Me too!!!!!!

  • amazing soundtrack!

  • I've been looking for this music for so long, it's amazingly unique.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Breath takingly stunning score

  • It certainly fits the conflict (fight doesn't really seem to fit, given the circumstances) at the end.

  • a1 in my book

  • This is an amazing piece of music

  • Wow. Ryan vs Dorkman actually used this!

  • I recognized it too! I heard it first in that clip but I don't remember seeing it in the credits so I didn't know what film it was from.

  • Actaully they did give credit to Trevor Jones, it said the film but not the song in the credits.
