They should put "Circus of the Stars" on DVD. Extra points if they find and use a copy with the original commercials. Hell, they should do a 10-DVD box set of 1980s commercials. Plus one for each other decade except the 2000s and 2010s.
i wish i was born in the 50's- that way i could enjoys the 90s/80s and by the time it hits 2004 (personally thats when the world went downhill) i would be old.
When I was 18, I was most assuredly not dreaming about one day owning an El Dorado. Now that I'm 34, I'm still not dreaming about one day owning an El Dorado. Owning a Ferrari or a Porsche--yes. A Cadillac--no.
I think being assaulted by a horse is better than being thrown off a bell tower. Not much better, but better.
It's surprising how few Christmas ads there were. During 2010's NFL December games, it seemed that every other commercial was Christmas themed.
@acetrain81 Maybe. I'd have to check the original DVD I recorded to see if the game was recorded off of the tape. On many of them I only recorded the commercials.
Hmmmm... Didn't GM just file for bankruptcy not too long ago? Yeah.. How's that " Sweatin' the details" workin for ya GM? Back then they could get away with it because the general population didn't know any better..
"Evening Magazine" was technically a show on a local TV station, but there's a huge difference in production value/budget when it comes to a show produced for a large TV market like the SF Bay Area. Also, I think she lives around here.
Cadillac always seemed like an old man car to me back then. Now they're awesome. CTS-V anyone? Wait, are they really awesome or am I an old man now?!? SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!!
Oh GM. If you only knew what would become of you in 25 years, you wouldn't stuck to designing airplanes instead of cars with digital speedometers.....
I loved watching Circus of the Stars as a kid, and that Kenny and Dolly Christmas special was a mainstay in my house every Christmas. The Miller Highlife Christmas commercial with the horse and buggy was the one commercial you'd see every year at christmas up here in Wisconsin. Thanks for posting!

Anyone notice the voice over artist on the "sweat the details" commercial? It was actor Richard Widmark!

@acetrain81 The Falcons were hosting the 49ers. San Francisco won 35-17.

yeah, i'm sure that must be a huge TV market out there. i live in cleveland where local TV is the dregs of programming.

Gleem is a pretty awful name for a product.
...and A Company Called TRW? Is that kinda like A Tribe Called Quest, you gotta say the whole thing?

I agree with you.
Do you know what TRW was?

I'm surprised we haven't seen Circus Of The Stars revive itself in the past decade of reality shows.
