@caesiume thank you very much!! Actually, sometimes I get more comments about Nicollette (the LP holder), than about my system.. It took a long time (and money) to build up the room... Thanks for the comment!
@TeenageShutdown01 Well, my system has changed a lot since that video was taken.. Have a look at my other videos.. I have about 3000 LPs now, and a decent system to play them on..
Nice system i like the esoteric speakers built in UK i believe? I also have some esoteric speakers people have never heard off. Check them out on here under Justins home cinema computer 01.
Great stuff. Love the turntalbel! I do find it kind of funny that you have that phono stage and preamp, which I am sure cost a pretty penny, sitting on that 20 dollar wood table off to the right lol. Way to be cautious with your collection as well. I don't know if you are aware or not but did you know you can insure your record collection?
Not to criticize, but you don't seem to have paid much attention to room acoustics. It seems the ceiling is textured, but the walls seem somewhat hard a bare. I think you ought to hang that tapestry up to soften the room a little. And a acoustical tile here and there wouldn't hurt.
Looks like life has been pretty good to you Very nice equipment and the cozy room looks like it only lacks a fine bottle of wine and some good company to appreciate all this! Fine video!
Hi, this is My stereo - part 1, have a look at my other videos, I have newer video clips. I've made many changes to my system since then. This is my favorite room in the house. It is also a library. Yes, you are right, I do spend a lot of time with friends in this room :-)
The stuff under the speaker cables is not snake oil, snake oil at least has some purpose, the stuff under the speaker cables DOES NOTHING AT ALL... It was meant as a kind of a practical joke. I have no slap-echo room is actually quite good.
You can apply this definition to audio equipment to: "snake oil is a term used to describe commercial cryptographic methods and products which are considered bogus or fraudulent" - they do "NOTHING AT ALL", just like the cable risers.
Very nice setup, I like the lady holding your record cover, and that arm, tonearm, is strange looking, I bet it's great. Looks like the Michell company stole the transcriptors idea, I read all about that. Thanks.
Why a t? Google Michell Engineering Gyrodec

Nice system, although the late John Michell probably wouldn't appreciate you sticking a "t" in the middle of his name!

Love it....Agreed....don't use that fire place.
xsamitt 1 year ago
@xsamitt I am scared to use it - in nine years, that I have been at this location, I never turned it on.. Smoke and vinyl don't mix !!

You should spend less money on equipment & more on building up your puny LP collection.

Where was 'Nicolette" purchased? What is she made of? How tall? Pretty cool concept and usage.
Cheers!

@gnoter2 Nicolette was purchased in a small antique shop in North-Eastern Ontario, Prince Edward County... It was the only one they had...

Sound treatment would do a LOT more improvement than the snake oil under your speaker cables.

@Pedro4k do you just look at every audiophile video on YouTube and make a comment about "snake oil" on all of them?
