No it's NOT Peter Criss, though he looks a bit like him, ( beard, hairs, mouth).
But this guy is thinner, taller, didn't got the grew hair Peter got till he start to dying his hair in 1982 ( Let me rock you ) and got also a different nose.
His name is Don Poncher, a drummer who did a lot work too. Google after his pics, than you will see...
That is of course Peter Criss at the drums. Every Kiss Collector knows this and searches for this album. It was the first released photo of Peter with no make up. It almost broke up the band. Catch up with you KISSTORY people.
Actually Tiki, it could be the black Paul Stanley stunt double from "KISS Meets The Phantom Of The Park".
Have you ever slow-motioned the fight scenes from that and looked at Paul & Ace? Black guys. Fucking hysterical. Look closely at the faces & then the hands - I laugh out loud every time I see that.
Casablanca Records and Filmworks was a fairly small label at the time. It was KISS that made them the money as their main act. I think they did this one to expand the lable.
It should be noted that not only is Christopher guest in the photo but KISS drummer Peter Criss is behind the drum in the photo too. He didn't play on the album but he turned up for the photo session. This was right after he left KISS.
Thank you for the reminder, I initially meant to edit the description to include that fact and never got around to it. I've actually seen KISS fans pay a good amount for the album.
Actually, Peter Criss was still in Kiss at the time. Had any Kiss fan noticed this, it would have blown the lid off the whole mystique. Remember, no one outside the inner circle knew what they really looked like for another 4 yrs. And he grew a beard to throw everyone off.

End of rumours : It's NOT George Criscuola!
You don't need to fill your collection.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but that IS indeed Peter sitting behind the drums, although he didn't play a note on that ridiculous record.
Why Casablanca (the same label KISS was on) put this out in '79 is anyone's guess.

Yeah but think about when you first saw gene simmons without make-up... i wondered why they hired fake people to be the not made-up kiss.
So it could very well be P.C.

Christopher Guest is actually credited on the album as Nigel Tufnel - the name of his character in Spinal Tap, pre-dating that film by a few years.

That's cool, those guys were a band, in some form, for years... they're more real than a lot of 'real bands'...

Hi. I am loving this album. Thanks a lot. Is that Murphy Dunne from The Blues Brothers on accordian in the photo? I think so.
