  • Thank you! I'm going to look for this in Micheals!

  • Very cool! Thanks for the vid ^_^

  • how do you remove them from molds , do you bake them in molds ?

  • I absolutely love the Key and lock molds you made!

  • I've tried this specific product as well and the reason that they could be drying so quickly might also be because you weren't closing the container after every time you take some putty out.

Great job on the moulds, they are going to be a really nice touch to any art project.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Awesome job *:) I was just looking for some ideas on where to get charms to make molds. Garage sales are a good idea! (I'm also using the AMP.) I'm a polymer clay artist, and I noticed you liked the Sculpey III. Just so you know, Sculpy Premo! is much softer and easier to play with and shape. They also have tons of colors, too. I'm new to making my own molds, and I was a little wary about certain flowers I was going to mold. You've reassured me and I'll be making them soon!

  • what kind of paint did you use to paint your polymer clays? can you make a video?? thanks :) you really did a good job!

  • @SweetCarolineUtube hmmm don't remember! OH folk art metallic paint from walmart. and the green leaf is with perfect pearls green and the red glossy one is with versamark ink pad and added red embossing powder and heated with the heat gun. I will try...have a couple of big projects right now.

  • you did a great job!

  • thank you for sharing all the steps, very generous of you

  • i love the saddle can u sell the molds

  • Them drying quickly has nothing to do with heat. It does that no mater what the temperature. It starts drying in like 4 minutes after mixed I believe. Use in 20 minutes

  • also. if the bottom thins out just add a patch of mixed silicone and remold it. you dont need to redo the whole thing next time, thus less waste!

  • i have used both, i do like the utee/melting pot silicone better but its only 2$ cheaper at my micheals, so i bought amp last time. i think the amp dried much faster then the utee silicone in my house. but they are both worth the money. the only reason i strongly suggest amp, is because its food safe, if you have kids. so as long as its clean, and babys not knawing for long, its ok to have laying about. but i like the other silicone because its meant for really high temps!!

  • Just curious...can you put the yellow molds in the oven??

  • @cyndibear69 yes

  • so glad you created this video. I have been venturing into clay and am amazingly hooked...I am awaiting my silicone putty...DickBlick has the best prices. I also ordered the liquid version so I can pour and mold small ornaments...I subscribed so I can see what you are so generously sharing...thanks...check out cjeureka channel if time permits.

  • do u have to make ur own mold or can u just buy 1?

  • @OhSnapRayssa there are a lot of people that sell premade molds on etsy

  • In Australia the only mold putty I could kind (same size as yours) was $60! I'll probably have to go to the Internet for it.

  • I really appreciate this video! I'm just now starting to use the Sculpy and I like the idea of making my own molds! TFS :)

  • do michaels in irving TX

  • Great job on these molds, I would love to try it but I don't think our Michaels in Canada carry this mold putty. tfs

  • Where did you get the mold putty from? I don' think its available in Canada. You did a really great job on these, tfs

  • I have to try this soon :)

  • @smscrapper your flowers are always so amazing...maybe one day I will have your flower making talent!

  • I think I know the answer but...do you bake the Sculpey in the mold??

If not, how do you pull it out?

I live in Texas as well so I agree about the heat

    TFS

    WEndy

  • @1dandiesmom yes, make it right in the mold and it's very easy to pop out after cooling.

  • OMG, I know I already posted a video, but I'm a person that comments as they watch so I kept watching and I saw all of the finished product and you sold me on getting into polymer clay.

  • @JustDahling haha I do the same thing....have fun! well first you have to set up your new craft room for us to see! lol

  • @2tinytreasures Yes, because that's going to be a project just by itself...

  • I've been wanting to start making my own charms out of clay for a while now. That's so cool that you can make your own molds. See, another reason why I need to start getting into other crafts!!!

  • They look amazing

  • Thank you for sharing this! I have everything to do this, just haven't made the time. Thanks, Janet =D

  • @nanajl54 It's a little overwhelming at first, but when I finally sat down and started, then I couldn't stop. Kept walking around the room looking for more things to cast!

  • great tut, i wanna try it..can you pls tell me how much time and temp do you use to bake the clay? thanks - leilani

  • @tewtami every clay is different, it is in very small print on the package. On this package it say 275 F and 15 minutes for every 1/4" thickness. So these took about 25 minutes. Never overbake! I hear burnt clay is bad for your health.

  • Wow!!! Those came out soooo awesome!! I bought some of the mold putty!! Now I can't wait to play with it!! TFS!!

  • @723mash tfw!

  • Hey huni loved how they all turned out, i was rumaging throu everything trying to find stuff i could mould lol love them will look fab on ur projects tfs hugs :)

  • @thetoad78 thx so much! it's a lot of fun

  • Wow, did it take you a long time to do all that? Looks like you had some great finds. :) I was thinking of getting some molds over at Mold Muse but that would be like heading into a whole other obsession! LOL...Did you try using resin? Kelly from Lawn Fawn had a great video on that. :)

  • @kim8mis I haven't tried resin...I have a parrot so I try to watch out for products with fumes, but maybe cold resin will be ok? Have to research. I'll look her up! thx! oh...time...mmm about 2-3 hours on and off yesterday. Longest part is baking about 20 minutes. Now that I have the molds though it will go much faster.
