I don't drink, and i hate what alcohol doees to people most of the time--but it is great for people who are dancing, drinking and having fun. I dont think Craig David knows this but he has one of the best voices i've ever heard. The people who make these type of songs are people with half ass talent and rely on synthesisers and repetitive beats to cover their shittyness.

If he's chosen to "modernize" himself to fit into today's mainstream industry, that's his own choice. With that said, Craig David circa 2000-2003 was an amazing artist.

I'm a radio producer & all i have to say is that the first 5 years of Craig's career we used to have him on poweplay all the time (first 3 albums). After that i don't know what happened! I think for a comeback that he could do a great dubstep song , so that maybe this could help him get back on the charts & clubs again. What i just heard was really bad, especially the refrain! :(

I grew up with Craig David and really is one of the best artists, but I miss his previous songs, such that without realizing I was crying because they had a great message and because his voice gets a lot, but honestly this is not the type of songs that mademe one of the best fans of Craig David.

It doesn't have the soul of most of Erick's stuff, and the melody (and certainly lyrics) lack the pull and appeal of most of Craig's material. It seems very gimmicky ... but who knows, maybe it'll grow on me.
Yea....I don't think he needs to make another "born to do it" album. @maradona951 As a citizen of the "western civilization" I'd like to say we have *nothing* to do with this (unfortunate) turn in Craig David's music style. He's not even played in the US anymore. If he's chosen to "modernize" himself to fit into today's mainstream industry, that's his own choice. With that said, Craig David circa 2000-2003 was an amazing artist.

I'm a fan of Craig Davids old stuff, so I don't enjoy this song but to be fair, it's better than most club songs. The reason why it has so many dislikes is because people don't like Craig David doing this. Not because they don't like the song. I hope he'll get back on his old shit asap

I'm a radio producer & all i have to say is that the first 5 years of Craig's career we used to have him on poweplay all the time (first 3 albums). After that i don't know what happened! I think for a comeback that he could do a great dubstep song , so that maybe this could help him get back on the charts & clubs again. What i just heard was really bad, especially the refrain! :(

I grew up with Craig David and really is one of the best artists, but I miss his previous songs, such that without realizing I was crying because they had a great message and because his voice gets a lot, but honestly this is not the type of songs that mademe one of the best fans of Craig David.
I have nothing more to say, simply if you feel proud of this work, all your fans too.

Wow, uhm I think you guys are a bit harsh on Craig. Our Generation only has popular tracks about shots and sex, so can you blame him? He just wants us to listen to songs like this because he thinks this is what WE like. I've listened to Craig since he made songs like What's Your Flava and Fill Me In. Don't judge him. He just thought that this is what our generation listens to and you shouldn't be so harsh on someone who you KNOW is talented.

Why are you, yourself, wasting your amazing talent? Why do you insist on making US friendly, forgettable, meaningless music. This isn't even a club banger, it's a mediocre song at most.
It's understandable artists grow, change and evolve and I don't expect you to record Born To Do It II but you acoustic live performances shit on every official dance track you did.

@bankingcollapse I have to agree, and I like pretty much all of Craig's stuff up til this point. But this seems like a bad attempt at jumping on the current electro bandwagon. It doesn't have the soul of most of Erick's stuff, and the melody (and certainly lyrics) lack the pull and appeal of most of Craig's material. It seems very gimmicky ... but who knows, maybe it'll grow on me.

Yea....I don't think he needs to make another "born to do it" album. He could still make those smooth r&b tracks, but he would be mentioned with names like Kem, Urban Mystic, Donnell Jones etc. With these types of generic, mainstream sounding songs he's been making, I think he wants to be mentioned with other big name mainstream artists. Just my take on the current Craig David....

Craig could put out an album full of nursery rhyme covers, I would still buy that shit because his VOICE is what keeps me as a fan coming back for more. I will ALWAYS love and support this man and his music, no matter what direction he goes in, period!
I see nothing wrong with him doing dance music. At least he's not using autotune like the rest of them, so let's just be thankful for that!
