For those of you who don't "get it"...the clip's slowed speed is just a study in motion; it's not about the how the tune sounded, as played, but about the personal approach to playing his instrument by one of THE best rock-improvisors of the 1960s. His motion is very fluid, much that of a "jazz" drummer, mosty from the wrists and fingers. He needed that speed and agilitiy to respond very quickly to the directions he was taking from the lead instrument.: Hendrix / Mitchell - Coltrane / Jones
Well at least you know you are in the moron class. You and the other cat make 2 out of 1000 viewers. Why don't you go buy the video, and enjoy yourself and keep your nasty language to yourself.
There are many observations to make in these two films. Although it requires basic intelligence to see the value. For those who can see, there are many subtle observations to make that will expand your own experience with the drums. It seems that musicians and especially drummers have had their minds damaged, primarily through modern cultural conditioning. As it is with real discovery, we usually have to open our minds, and humble ourselves in order to see the new possibilities.
too fast for me

Perhaps the slow motion is this guy's half-assed attempt at making a "Shreds" video?

Mitch Mitchell, the best, the intuitive, the creator of the fusion, the inovator and versatile drummer ever.

@karunathurman I would like to think John Densmore had a big part in the creator of fusion for drums.

I love Mitch Mitchell...but pls don't forget Ian Paice in the same league...

I love it, Mitch always used a Rogers Cymbal titler for 22" ride w/ rivets! Even when he used, Gretsch, Premier, and Ludwig.
