@ilovecappuccino1 thats how you know it was the accumulators, becuase the dipatcher started the launch sequence before the ride had enough preassure, it faulted and the brake fins came back up. trust me thats what hapens

@chernabog135 actually I operate storm runner also and this happens quite alot without pressing the e-stop sometimes the automatic computer system senses something wrong and will shut the launch down or often like this 2010 summer the system overheats that's why storm runner operated only one train for awhile to get a decent interval between launches so it won't do like this video
Thats funny went to HP today, 08/20/2010. Guess what. HP's 2nd largest attraction was out of commission until after 8Pm. And still only one car was running after that. Thanks Hershey Park. My kids were really upset they could not ride it. How about a partial rebate on 5 adult tickets? Thought so.......

Many of you are talking about rollbacks. But this is not a rollback. If you watch the Brake Fins it seems they Had an ermgencey Stop Hit. Because of the speed they jump back up as soon as they are down. As soon as they come back up this prevents the ride from Launching. And Means 1) ride has stalled up ahead 2) E-stop 3) Some saftey sensors being triggered
That happens to that ride all the time. They bring it back into the station and it ends up being closed for a couple of hours... It's one of the most unreliable rides in the park
Actually, being one of the supervisors of this ride, it is very reliable, and only breaks down once in a couple of days. Even when it does, its only down for about ten minutes or so. And when you say "breaks down", its usually due to the computer thinking something is unsafe, therefor shutting down to protect the safety of the riders. Most of the time its a quick fix. Heck, its so safe, it shuts down when a light bulb burns out on a panel.
I've been on it at least 5 times when it leaves the station, the ready speech comes on, and the ride does not launch. It is then taken back into the station and a relaunch is attempted. When this fails, maintenance is called and the ride is closed for 1 - 2 hours in general. Other than that, I don't know of any problems, and I may have been wrong when I said it was the most unreliable, as Fahrenheit seems to get stuck all the time. My favorite was when it stopped on the vertical lift.

I Was Surfing YouTube, And I Saw A Video Of It Rolling Back. It's Not Meant To Rollback because the coaster track separates to pick up another roller coaster cart.
Rollbacks are normal and they are expected to happen, and Storm Runner is no different. It's meant to happen, hence why they have magnetic brakes on the launch track just in case.
Its normal, it rollbacks to the same position and relaunches. a rollback is just like a failed launch. it doesnt make it over the top from winds, decreased launch speed, or something must be on the trck thats not supposed to be there for exsample rain

I think what happened was one train didn't clear the block section before that train was dispatched so the logic controller aborted the launch.

The reason was an E-stop. If it was the sensors, the operator would never have gotten the lights to launch.
