Ugh, screw that. If I want 8 bit, I'm gonna cheat and make my own sine wave sounds on Reason, rewire that shit to Cubase and play the music with my mighty midi controller. :P
hey im a total newbie to milky tracker ive always had this question (that might me stupid): what r the blue numbers between the green notes?also what r the yellow and red ones on channel 3? can someone please answer ?i would really appreciate it
@ScrewFearMe@me? it doesn't take long to figure out the keys, but if you mean making chiptune music, it takes practice, took me a year or two of practice and looking at other chiptunes to get good. of course i already knew musical theory and my way around trackers / daws
I've noticed that people making chiptunes always put the loop point somewhere in the middle of the samples instead of just resizing the sample and putting the loop at the end. Why is that? It seems like extra work to get the loop in just the right spot.
@FearsomeDragonfly: Same reason people drive in the middle of a lane rather than driving right on the edge of the lane, or getting a car that barely fits in the lane.
I start Traker with your tutorial. thanx from France.

how do you add one of those G-5 D-5 and so on? im lost when it comes to that and what buttons are you using on the keyboard?
ScrewFearMe 5 months ago
@ScrewFearMe most audio production software map notes to keys on the keyboard, and that's how you input notes into the tracker while in record mode

how do you do the arpegio every time i try to press 0 it just deletes the effect
littlesk8rdude 2 years ago
@littlesk8rdude That one was tricky for me too. What you do is skip the the effect and just add your value. That sets the effect to 0.
