  • Classic!!

  • Forgive me for being naive to island music as I dont have much knowledge of it. However, this song was just played at the end of the most recent episode of Hawai'i Five-O and its shear beauty made me search it out. Can anyone tell me what the lyrics mean or the overall meaning of the song. Thank you

  • This is so beautiful.

  • Very wonderful and humble man! =)

  • So wonderful to read the comments! I live in Hawaii nei and here so many wonderful stories from those who learned from gabby. The aloha that he shared with so many will never end! God bless you Gabby. Beautiful rendition Hoaikane!

  • im from waipi'o directly from hi'ilawe stream

    baybay

  • Laki no `oe!

  • he was telling the story of his first time visiting the valley and saw the streams and it was very moving:) i love this uncle Cyril

  • This is an awesome performance. I miss Hawai'i. Mahalo to Cyril and Peter from Chicago.

  • He Peter maikai. Mahalo for joining me. Cyril

  • how could somebody give a bad comment to that. it's just awesome! thanks for sharing.

  • Greatt

  • Peter Moon, Jr. is hardly a beginner. His father was one of the greatest ukelele players of all time. Peter Moon, Sr. and Cyril were original members of the Sunday Manoa and Peter Sr. managed Gabby for a while and produced his records. Peter Jr. comes by his talent honestly and plays often with Cyril and Palani Vaughn.

  • beautiful. simply beautiful. mahalo and aloha.

  • By the way 5 stars.

  • Why you guys calling him "the boy." His name is Peter Moon Jr. as it states in the info. Also he is far from a beginner as I've seen what he can do and even Ozzie Kotani says he has some serious skills.

  • I not going be tolerating any more negative comments.

    Pau.

  • @hoaikane I FUCKIN LOVE THIS SONG!

  • da brahdah playing with cyril is right on for beginner. da comment wasn't meant to hurt anybody. i just love cyril by himself dats all kussins. i'm hawaiian and hate no one. i hope more people play hawaiian music.

  • too many scrubs out dea, tired awready wut happen to da good guys?

  • r u referring to the boy as a scrub?

  • The boy's playing matches with Cyril's playing. The audio and the video aren't synced 100% that's why it looks that way. I was in the audience during that performance. As for ukulele911, y u gotta hate on him for? I visited your page and as an ukulele teacher, shouldn't you be less critical of other players and show this young braddah aloha and encouragement rather than discouraging words? Just my opinion. This is the first I've seen of him and if it means he's a beginner then he's doing great

  • cyril by himself better. sorry
