@elesha76 My bridal photos were done a few months before the wedding. My Mother insisted on my hair being up for the wedding, & I had told her HELL NO, it's MY wedding. My parents paid for everything so I had to compromise by doing my hair up for the bridal portraits.

What an absolutely beautiful video & what a lovely family you have - made me cry. I was a twin but my mum miscarried the twin before she had me. She didn't know she was expecting twins either & thought she had lost the baby - they did a scan & there I was, still on the screen with a healthy heartbeat (apparently bouncing up & down doing somersaults!) My mum couldn't stop crying tears of joy because she at least had me left although she was distraught she lost my twin.
I didn't even know until AFTER i gave birth that I had orginonally had twins, but that the 2nd baby must have aborted before my first ultrasound at 8 weeks. It took the doctors an hour to deliver my afterbirth, and when they FINALLY did they found a second bag of water and said that it was vanishing twin syndrome. I was so glad i didn't know about it until after. But i am very fortunate that god blessed me with my son.
Nothing in life is perfect and while your family's happiness is tender, I would like to see and hear about the not so "perfect" parts of getting married and having kids at such a young age. You barely had time to have fun & discover yourself. Your only aspirations in life were to find a man, get hitched, have babies & be a Mom? There is so much more to life than that. For over six months, she has been backpacking and traveling all over Asia and Australia. She has learned so much, met some amazing people and now she is teaching English to young children in Asia. In my opinion, 24 years old is VERY young for marriage and kids. There is an entire world out there to experience.

Most of my family & close friends are married & have kids. Since I have taken a different route in life, I am honestly curious. The idea of having a baby scares the hell out of me! At 22, I had a brief pregnancy & I felt like my life was over. So, no need to be defensive. I quite appreciate your way of life. It looks like hard, but rewarding work.

Heya Joelpole. Long time to talk. Well i didnt realise this only took you 2 months/2 tries to conceive untill i watched this video! hahah congrats mate, very lucky! Sorry to hear about the "Missing twin" episode, not good :/ Anyway, i'm not sure if i told ya or not but My wife and i finally conceived through IVF after 4.5 years of trying and she gave birth at 31.3weeks gestation on 19th of november 2009 @ 12:34pm. Unfortunately our daughter only made it to 6 days old due to having CDH.

You look terrific & the baby is gorgeous! I had the Vanishing twin syndrome w/ my 4 YO. There was never a heartbeat (which made it easier of course). I have said since then, that this child, just couldn't bare to share her space or the attention, so she just was not havin that. Today I look back & i couldntt imagine her being a twin, she was a tough kiddo from the start. It is very sad & it happens more then we know, but in everything there is a purpose & u gotto celebrate what you have:)

@vertiouslady31 Yes, actually, Sort of...It's called VTS (read description box for a more detailed answer.) One of the twins dies, and either the other twin absorbs their body, or either the Mother's body absorbs the baby that passed away.

For many people, life is about traveling, following our dreams, having a fulfilling career, having fun, enjoying our freedom and so much more. Sadly, I grew up in a small town in the South & this "perfect life" that you subscibe to was what I was encouraged to do. Thankfully, I left that small town & discovered that there is so much more out in this beautiful world.
That is so precious, I want to have a daughter one day. If I do have one, her name will be Sianna (Sy-ah-nah). If I get twin daughters, the other will be named Brianna (Bree-ah-nah). And I always have alternative names like if one would be a boy. Twins run in my family so I am prepared with Ramos so far.

Continued: (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia) or a hole in her Diaphragm. We are still saddened to this day but have moved interstate and will be going again soon, in the near months to come. Hope you and all your family is well! I'll have to catch up on some of your video's! Take care.

Heya Joelpole. Long time to talk. Well i didnt realise this only took you 2 months/2 tries to conceive untill i watched this video! hahah congrats mate, very lucky! Sorry to hear about the "Missing twin" episode, not good :/ Anyway, i'm not sure if i told ya or not but My wife and i finally conceived through IVF after 4.5 years of trying and she gave birth at 31.3weeks gestation on 19th of november 2009 @ 12:34pm. Unfortunately our daughter only made it to 6 days old due to having CDH.

You look terrific & the baby is gorgeous! I had the Vanishing twin syndrome w/ my 4 YO. There was never a heartbeat (which made it easier of course). I have said since then, that this child, just couldn't bare to share her space or the attention, so she just was not havin that. Today I look back & i couldntt imagine her being a twin, she was a tough kiddo from the start. It is very sad & it happens more then we know, but in everything there is a purpose & u gotto celebrate what you have:)

my mom was supposed to have twins wen my baby sister was born but one of them was till born.i was just a kid myself so i dont realy knw hw she reacted but i do no that you have to be strong to cope with something like that.
& to the bride/mother/wife you are like model status my dear.
& the baby is the prettyst thing i have ever seen(:

@vertiouslady31 Yes, actually, Sort of...It's called VTS (read description box for a more detailed answer.) One of the twins dies, and either the other twin absorbs their body, or either the Mother's body absorbs the baby that passed away.

@halenaredvance99 if you didn't like the video you could have turned it off. Lots of us have loved seeing this video and are very grateful to Lucy and Joel for letting us share in their joy and helping us to understand the pain of vanishing twin syndrome.
Plenty of people out there were looking for exactly that, a video of "some woman giving birth", that is what we set out to watch on youtube.

@elixis28 While I concur that her comment was silly, life is about much more than getting married, breeding & being a parent. For many people, life is about traveling, following our dreams, having a fulfilling career, having fun, enjoying our freedom and so much more. Sadly, I grew up in a small town in the South & this "perfect life" that you subscibe to was what I was encouraged to do. Thankfully, I left that small town & discovered that there is so much more out in this beautiful world.

That is so precious, I want to have a daughter one day. If I do have one, her name will be Sianna (Sy-ah-nah). If I get twin daughters, the other will be named Brianna (Bree-ah-nah). And I always have alternative names like if one would be a boy. Twins run in my family so I am prepared with Ramos so far.
