That's right. Heath Ledger did an excellent job as The Joker. Maybe on the inside his name is Jack Napier since on the Batman movie with Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson's name was Jack Napier, and it showed how Jack Nicholson turned into the Joker but, it never showed how Heath Ledger became the Joker.

I also wonder what happened to Heath Ledger as the Joker at the end of the movie. All it showed him just hanging upside down from a building and the cops came with guns and the scene ended.
