  • Fucking wicked brilliant song, music wasnt the same to me after hearing PTH!

  • @OtakuAMV are you from New England?

  • Dear America,

We're sorry for Beiber. Can we offer Protest the Hero to make up for it?

    Sincerely, Canada

  • @EFRproductions Fuck America :P

  • @EFRproductions You guys also have Devin Townsend and James LaBrie. Canada fucking rules!

  • @EFRproductions Fuck America

  • @EFRproductions You guys brought us The Agonist. It's all good :D

  • @EFRproductions UneXpect, What's he building in there?, Pam Anderson, bacon, and beautiful country help tilt those scales too :)

  • @EFRproductions Dear Canada,

We sincerely apologize for are ass-hattery down here in America.

You are not "America's" hat as many would say,and also... Protest the Hero kicks FUCKING BALLS! \\m//

  • this should be a soundtrack of a movie

  • The first time I heard this song, 0:17 dropped my jaw through the floor. To this day, it still does. That riff is pure class.

  • "Language is the heart's lament; a weak attempt to circumvent the lonliness inherent in the search for permanence!" fucking beautiful lyrics

  • Still remeber the first I heard this song.........fucking made my balls drop............dont you just wish you could wipe your mind of a specific song or album just so you could go back and listen to it for the first time again.

  • Progressive Nation Best Line-Up:

    Protest The Hero

    Angra

    Symphony X

    Dream Theater

    W/o chairs in Pit

THAT, I would SERIOUSLY pay $10000 to see it in ALL the USA.

  • @matrixman770

    And the U.K. please!

    I DECLARE A WORLD TOUR! :D

  • @matrixman770

U forgot RUSH, or are you talking about prog. metal?

  • @jepa12 rush would make their own prog festival and have dream theater join it. They would probably call it Progressive Universe

  • @matrixman770 what about btbam?????

  • @matrixman770 hey, don't forget tool and meshuggah!!!!!!!!!!

  • @matrixman770 and Opeth oc.

  • @matrixman770

    Yeah needs more btbam -.-

  • thats crazy, cuz that is tha same way i found out about PROTEST THE HERO, when they were touring wit TRIVIUM in 06'........but if memory serves me right, i think it was SEAMLESS, not PROTEST THE HERO that opened, unless the show they did in SAN DIEGO was diffrent than the 1 in ur city

  • Why does every kick ass metal music come from Canada? O.O I want to be reborn in Canada once i'm gone!

  • @Candaras So is your mother because she decided to give birth to you. Now go watch some videos of Peter Norther.

  • @crabappleslikeme funniest part = Luke mentioned Peter North as his main influence on formspring :]

  • For some reason it kinda sounds jazzy to me haha

  • fuck yeah, great fucking song

  • when 1:53 starts it's my favorite part of the song :)

  • Protest the Hero is also Canadian!

They're actually from the town next to mine; look it up!

  • @ClawInFace I live in the town where there from!

  • same like with blindfold aside...

something in the lead guitar reminds me of the time i played sonic the hedgehog on old sega system :D

    Protest The Hero ftw

  • I know. All the time I'll hear something that reminds me of playing sonic on the genesis. It had great music. I think the music on sonic was by an actual band.

  • the music that begins at 2:15 after that metal madness that went on before it makes this song the most epic thing ive ever fucking heard.

  • I guess i am becoming a fan.. how could i miss them even mr. portnoy mentioned their name several times...better late than never.

  • 1:26-1:30 blows my fucking mind! LOVE IT, it's so dynamic and brilliant. outro? more fucking inane brilliance.

    thanks for posting this vid.

  • He flubbed a note at 2:55!!! lol still love em

  • im curious about that. personally i think it was intentional. it is negatable. and even if it were unintentional it doesn't detract from the song.

    definitely still love em.

  • uhhh dude... they didnt flub a note... that was musical genius they dont stay on the same rythem for the whole song... that was to change it up

yes they are just the good

  • Flubbed? It sounds 'different' because it deviates from the normal rhythm you're used to hearing in that song. These guys are right on with the "mathcore" genre. Always switching up time measures and their jazzy feel and superb tapping techniques makes these guys phenomenal.

  • im not trying to sound mean, but do you listen to alot of music with great guitar in it, or play an instrument? cause as far as i can tell that was completely intentional and it sounds great to me...

  • the bass at 1:04 just blew my mind but every protest song blows my mind.

  • dis song be dumb bitchin lol good shit

  • I can't believe Protest the Hero's the one opening for Trivium, it should be the other way around, don't get me wrong Trivium's great and all but PTH is just fucking amazing

  • have you heard triviums drummer :) FUCKING DIVINE!!!!

  • Trivium's drummer is a pile of turd compared to Moe Carlson!

  • in my opinion protests drummer is better then triviums, because hes well versed with time signatures.

  • I'm not sure if they still are, when I saw them in concert, it was right after they released Kezia, so they didn't have the same HUGE fan-base they have now... now that Fortress is out, it would probably be totally different, but who's to say?! I love both bands and was glad they played. Ya know who else played?! THE F*CKING SWORD!
