A good remix can do only 1 of the following 2 things: take something and go in a completely new but exciting direction, or massage but not molest an original and keep its "raison d'etre" intact. This goes for the latter and hits the bulls-eye, and yet it takes the original on a little, fresh side trip, and that's why it's a "great" remix beyond a "good" one. This is wonderful.

I would have never thought that an update of this would work, but it does. Joe Clausell certainly has a lot of respect for the classics and the fact that he leaves the strings and harmony intact show that he's more interested in quality than cash. Subtle but excellent remix of one of Ashford and Simpson's finest moments.
