Calling a section of the map as your own is probably one of the best methods to do well in free-for-all. One of the best places imo on hardhat to hold down with an SMG is the stretch between the C and A flag. Its almost half the map and very easy to control.

Patrolling one area is NOT camping. Sitting in a corner watching a choke point and never moving around is camping. People just complain because they run around the map aimlessly like idiots using no strategy and can't do well, so they bitch when they see other people doing well. Its like complaining that someone don't sprint around corners. Pretty soon people will be complaining about everyone that doesn't do laps around the map sprinting 90% of the time. Give it a rest people.

I completely agree with the whole 'defending an area' play-style. The spawns in this game are ridiculously spontaneous and I'm not sure how to go about all that. I, as well have my 'spots' for each map in FFA and it's just a good play style. I'm glad someone finally agrees.

In my opinion this isn't camping, this is being campy, which is completely different.

Camping would be defined as sitting in either a corner or in cover to surprise people turning corners.

Being campy is trying to use the map to your advantage and staying in one general area, all the while turning corners yourself to try to catch people sprinting down various corridors.

I'm not gonna blame Perry for his tactics, but I myself find little fun in using portable radar...
