Zune sucks big time. It took them over 2 years and they only manage to create 13 apps for the zune? Pathetic. And why are the apps for the phone 7 not compatible with the zune? Explorer loses to Firefox. Xbox loses to Nintendo in sales. Zune loses to ipod. Windows os loses to linux, Leopard. Phone 7 loses to blackberry, iphone, etc. Bing loses to Google. There tablet loses to ipad. We wont miss you when you are gone Microsoft.
Do yourselves a favor and don't buy a freakin zune. If a format change occurs or your songs are no longer available on marketplace, you lose it. Gone, gone, gone and microsoft won't reimburse you for it. I lost a bunch of stuff because of this and will never buy another zune again. They're a bunch of monkey f%cking crooks
lol thats funny my zune makes me mad too it has its monthly issues with the songs not working and i end up erasing my zune 30 and putting all that music back on. now it has a problem with reading and storing the memory..its capcity is about 4gb and any after that i get a zune is not responding message. :(
Hi. I had a problem like that, and I could resolved it. I press the buttons combination to erase the firmware and then I update the firmware with the software zune.
The buttons combination is: return button + left pad + central button, press all this buttons at the same time.

The same thing happened to mine when I tried to update to the latest firmware!!! I contacted support and they told me if I shipped them mine, they would send me a refurbished one for $109.00!!!! Are they out of their f'n mind??? Woot just had refurbished ones for $90.00. If you think about it, $109.00 plus giving them mine (which my just be a software issue) and allowing them to resell it, is the equivalence of around $200. Why don't they just tell me to go back to Apple?

i think zune is really good but it has a couple of issues with stuff like this
i had an issue with the songs not syncing cuz of error C00D1371 or sumthin like that
and i was hella mad idk y
but when my zune pass ends all my songs dont want to even sync to my zune they just have errors

I finally got it working! Here's what I did:
1. Reboot the Zune with left button + Up on the middle button
2. While it reboots push and hold both left and right button. This should format the Zune
3. Power down the Zune with left button + Down on the middle button
4. Plug the Zune in your computer. When the Zune software starts and prompts for a firmware upgrade click Install
5. After installing the firmware synchronise the Zune with your content
