it is a good impersonation. Shirley was beiong adventurous in the 1980s just listen to `NEW YORK STATE OF MIND` `THE RHYTHM DIVINE` for two examples. record companies might refuse to release individual traclks but her management would not be able to dictate that to her. Who is Sheryl Bassey?

Okay, I took a look at the channel and it looks like maybe this recording is a bit of a comedy.

sounds like our DSB to me. The song needs a better arrangment. With a little work this would have worked. At the end it sounds like other voices joining in. To me it sounds like a "lets test the waters recording." in any event I like it. Shirley is so versatile, and still so PRESENT in the lives of us who favor power singers. Is there more out there? Bring it on!!!!!

@mauriceboland1 I was insecure because she rarely sang songs like this and it sounded a bit strange but it's surely Shirley - who could have a voice THIS similar to Shirley? No one, certainly not Maxine Barry.

@Thorneycroft1937 I can understand her mgmt not releasing this.I am not really sure it is DSB. In addition to a really weak arrangement, the vocals don't have the power that Dame Shirley normally displays. Dame Shirley's phrasing is impeccable, there is no demonstration of that here. I noticed that he said he met SHERYL Bassey and that he recorded etc.I could believe this is a wannabe named Sheryl Bassey. But I really doubt whether this is Dame Shirley Bassey being serious. Maybe as a joke?
