I am impressed that you took the time to reply to that shit ton of comments! Thanks for the reply, I prefer to park further away and if I get lucky and get a close on well the good luck, by the by Miller light is shit, you should stick to Miller Highlife!
@doctornoise I just saw that trolley sailboat thing today. I was walking out of the store and the woman was too lazy to put the cart away, and got in her car. The wind blew and off it went. I power walked towards it and safely placed it back into the return.
i hate that too!! I mean seriously just push your cart to the holder. Also do people realize when they drive around an extra 2 mins to get a closer spot that it just adds more time to their trip.
My mom knows just how annoying "parking lot sailboat's" are. Especially when they decide to escape the parking lot and travel on to the highway. In front of her.
@doctornoise It's been a long time, but I imagine she had to hit it hard enough to turn it into a kind of dented airplane. Mom does remember that it caused a few thousand dollars of damage to her car.
Don't even get me started dude, I fucking HATE that. if I'm walking when someone does this, I move that shit behind their car so they can't pull out, wait for them to get out and move it, repeat until they put it in the trolley hut
@OKaysional my friend and I when I was in high school used to push carts in front of or behind any car that parked in front of the store so they had to maneuver their dumbass way out. lol
@dedicatedrr I found the hat in a store on State Street here in Madison. I coulda also had a couple other animals I think, or a hotdog. I woulda got the hot dog but the bun was yellow. YELLOW!
lol I usually get the parking spot closer to the cart return even if it's farther from the store. it's sooo much easier to walk a little more with the cart full of groceries to your car and have the cart return be right there than have that awkward walk with the empty cart to the cart return and then the walk back to my car. =D just saying
@Vamp61616 I did once see a "Parking Lot Sailboat" in Waitrose once, that freaked me out. I mean, come on, WAITROSE! ((yes, I am ridiculously middle class now sshhhh, I must go back to my sun-dried-tomato-paste))
The grocery store is just a block from my house. Up the street from us are these apartment buildings. These people walk to the grocer store. Sometimes they bring the grocery carts with them to their apartments and then walk it back after they are done. But every once in awhile, they leave it on the sidewalk in front of our house and we have to walk it back. Annoying.
@radiantstar I saw that a lot when I was living in Las Vegas. There was one place that actually had wheel lockers so if you tried taking a cart outta the parking lot the wheels just stopped turning entirely. lol
But fi they don't leave the trolley in the way then they will be late and miss Simon Cowell or whoever presents that show were they show off Americans who can't sing. Is that supposed to be entertainment or is it a form of torture?
In holland we've got the answer: to be able to use a cart you have to put a coin of half a euro in it. You get this back when you put it back in the cart returns. Americans would never leave that free money in the cart.
i work at a shop with a big car park and i have to go out and run round the car park getting all the bloody trolleys its a pain im glad someone else notes
@pinkblackwitch I do that sometimes too. Sometimes I put away the carts of the lazy people who are JUST leaving their lazy dumbass cart where they shouldn't. They're probably to useless to feel embarrassed though.
I was at the store the other day, and someone left a cart in the space I parked in, so i took it up to the store with me when I walked up. Then when I came back (carrying my groceries, cartless), there was another cart in the space. Come on people, it's not that hard.
My first job was pushing carts at a grocery store, so yeah, I know what you mean. It irritates me so much, whenever I go to a store, I push any carts that are near my car into the return spot.
There are SO many "lazy" habits that I hate! Littering is one. Also, I used to work at a fast food restaurant and sometimes during rush hour if a couple of people wouldn't put their trays away, then it seemed like there was exponentially more people who would leave their trays and trash on the table for us cashiers to pick up. Some days I swear it seemed like a storm had come into the store leaving a ton of trash on its way!
Yeah. You hit my two biggest pet peeves while shopping. I've been the jerk to get in my car and sit there pretending to be busy until the person waiting for my spot moves on. "I'm too lazy to start my car"
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad that someone shares this annoyance with me. It's as bad as when people leave like all of the clothes they try on in dressing rooms, they have a rack right outside the dressing rooms, just grab them and put them there.
@phampants Mister Jon! of course I'm well, I hope you are also. We should trade numbers since I'm so close to Chicago now. E-mail me sometime or I will you!
UGH! I hate people like this! Drives me nuts also!! Even worse I work in retail and I really hate it when people leave the carts in my department. Like they weren't going to walk out the door which is RIGHT next to the cart return! *Shakes head*
This happens in England occasionally. BUT, people HATE it. People usually don't leave their trolleys in the way, and if they do the person who has to move it makes a big scene sometimes :P
@toallyso I used to park far away in my Javelin from time to time. People STILL managed to throw their doors into mine. Nice cars have a way of finding douchebags. lol
So true. My family always makes sure to put our carts back but it is so annoying to have to get out and move the cart someone left behind so we don't run into it while parking.
@valeknyelena always throw the carts people leave out directly into their cars. lol. Nahhh, just park it behind um so they can't pull out without hitting it ;)
Whenever I went shopping with my parents I would take the trolley to the designated trolley area and in exchange I could keep the coin used to take it out in the first place :D
I'm sorry :( I will always put my cart away from now on. One problem if I am returning my cart then I must leave my two year old twins in the car by themselves while I push the cart to the cart return? I feel this is unsafe. I know I could park next to the return but, this is not always possible. How do I solve this problem?
@Pinkpoodle654 Bring them with you, if possible. It could also possibly help them to pick up the habit when they are older ;) This may not work, but just a tiny suggestion.
@Pinkpoodle654 hmm. Lock the doors with the kids inside until you return? I'm pretty sure child abduction has about the same odds as winning the lottery, too... so you've got that on your side. lol. I know! You could make THEM carry the stuff out so you don't need a cart! It's about dang time they started earning their weight. 2 years old already? They should be working full time! ;)
CHICKEN HAT! Also, I walk to the store, and I really don't like having to navigate through the sea of annoyed drivers who seem to be unable to believe that I am really there, because, everyone knows that legs are for working the gas petal
@owenfranciscook walking is awesome. I like to do it whenever an option. Though, the cold weather is being a dick about the idea of walking. Me and cold weather hate each other. Never see eye to air
