The day I finally heard this, FFXI seemed like a real Final Fantasy. Odd it was only featured in such a short expansion though.

lol double post, but my linkshell disbanded today on a hillside in La Theine (Where the idea of the shell came first) over fourty people gathered there while the leader played this on the vent server T_T

I think the reason the community on ffxi is so nice is because we all wanna keep experiencing the awesome feeling of going through certain events again.

now, i dont have this game, and i do and dont want it. why? i do because most MMORPGs i have played sucked (ecxept for toontown XD) and FF having an MMORPG is interesting. sadly i hear people there are egocentric and only want friends with rare armor and weapons, i dont know if buy, or not buy, oh balls.

@nothingespecial1 the egocentric part is and isn't true, a lot of players are like that later in the game (i started noticing it around 50-60 when better armor actually becomes available). JP players 95% of the time will not play with someone who speaks english. Although you can meet a lot of really nice people who are willing to help someone new out. My first friend in all of FFXI at the time was a 75 BLM (at the time this was a huuge deal hha) and he was honestly one of the nicest people

@Nysp0X Ill be maybe buying this game trough amazon for Pc. I think Ill be a tarutaru black mage/summoner and then ill create a hume arrior, and once i get to class change, ill be a ninja/paladin.

@nothingespecial1 if i could give you some tips i would, but it's been like 3 years~ since i've played and the game has changed so much, although i've heard Abyssea is like the best thing to happen to the game as you can get crazy EXP and awesome gear from it

There's a version of Final Fantasy in every game of the series except II, X, and XIII.

I didn't know Final Fantasy XI had Final Fantasy. This was one of the better versions that they've done. I have to find a mp3 of it.

ACP was good but to short it filled alot of gaps in the FFXI story lots ppl say ACP did not make any sence it does if u done all other story missions its cool SE did these add ons but only problem is to short o well wounder if SE is going to make another expansion for XI after wotg wotg should be ending in 2 to 3 more updates

That's pretty much how it is on every MMORPG that has an end game, you will always find those kind of people, but that's why you have to seek out the real friends that'll be willing to stick with you and help out~

this theme is great :) not quite as good as the one on FFXII though I think.

Almost makes me want to play FFXI again, but I've quit twice now for the same reasons; the people on there are selfish and elitist. For people to accept you you need the best rare armour and weapons that you can only get from battles requiring over 6 people and noone wants to help out. It's a vicious cycle

Maybe it depends on what world you're on. On Cerberus I certainly found people don't like to help at all unless you have lots of 75 jobs, good equips, ran about in Sky for at least 20 hours, etc.

I couldn't even get people together for a quick, easy and fun battle in a Wings of the Goddess mission before I quit... I'd just had enough.
