Exactly true. I play the violin and it is extremely difficult. It took me forever just to learn how to hold the bow right.

forgive me for saying it but i'm violinist myself and i just can't look at how he holds the istrument with his left hand. from this posoton playing is just impossible =) but his right hand - that holds the bow - seems more like the hand of real musician.and the stance he uses is quite remarkable - by all means it refers to stance that Yehudi Menuhin developed. if you find some photos of "violin of the century" - as they call sir Menuhin- you might also find some other similarities... ;)

Plus, if one was just "mimicing", the noise of the voilin would be unbearable. I don't think JB could of stood the noise. One old friend of mine used to play violin and loved to invite us to her FAMILY recitals. Trust me it was a great ordeal. LoL

cute vid!! btw, it's just beyond me that JB said he couldn't play violin and was just mimicing the movements. I don't think it's so hard for skilled piano players(like JB) to play violin even without much professional training. Most music students I know are pretty versatile. Plus, JB's bowing sync with the music perfectly. I really can't believe his words. Was he just being modest?
