@wlmmn - Some how, I think Harland knew full well what Adam was doing. First off, Harland is a terribly smart comic. That aside, there is no way he would not know Adam's schtick. All he was doing was playing a foil to Adam, if not underlining the hypocrisy of the reasoning used to give the film an R rating as Adam was recounting.
