Understand this: Pretty much every religion has it's base in the old indian realiziations about life through deep meditation: Everything exists of consciousness and this is everything, all is one, which christians refer to as god and budhists simply know as counsciousness and worship as the beauty of the world.
Every religion believe the same thing but still they argue over differences in their believes, when they actually believe the exact same thing, but simply misunderstood in different ways
Some of these comments are pretty funny, especially the comments made by so-called christians arguing against other sects of their cult. Wake up people, don't be naive or delusional, gods are just imaginary characters.
@FUCKyourGODmyth I understand why you say that. It really is a comment born of ignorance. I wondered about that myself but I actually investigated religion, religions, cults and Christianity of the Bible. The only one to stand the scrutiny the . this is NOT what Brown is doing.
Christianity's shown 2 ways in the media. Catholicism, or raging Charismatic antics. I often share THIS video to prove that people like Benni Hinn et al are fakes and NOT part of Christianity. Not God's NOT Biblical.
@FUCKyourGODmyth then can you explain how they knew about the future back 3000 years ago writing the bible? the 1st sentence "god created the heaven and earth" in the original language this was 7 words. everything god had completed was seven. 7days of week, 7 continents, 7 oceans, 7colors on rainbow, 7galaxys, and the list goes on....so your ignorant ass dont know shit and is blind in this 3rdworld deminsion, you are not aware of the other deminsions flowing around us.
@doctamic --- Wow! God has a fascination with the number 7. Are you kidding or just stupid? The authors of the Bible couldn't predict future events any better than you or me. Bible prophecy, and ALL so-called prophecy, is bullshit and smart people know that.
@FUCKyourGODmyth "Wake up people, don't be naive or delusional, gods are just imaginary characters." Any and all "gods"? You may be right. I'm just curious as to how you know this.
i dont really look at this as a commentary on the ideas expressed in religions so much as the practices of certain sects and how easily some people accept them. all it means is that we should think before we decide what we believe even if what someone ultimately chooses to believe is to not believe
@TheBadwooolf the problem is that it calls itself something it is not. If and atheist calls himself a faith healer some of you fellas might take deep exception . :) What Brown is doing is imitating the sham that Charismatic "preachers" perform in order to perpetuate a lie under the banner of Christianity. It is NOT an expression of the Holy Spirit or Biblical faith in any sense. It is a lie. And tho Brown claims no affiliation, plenty of so-called preachers claim it is Biblical.
Probably Catholic or Pentecostal if he thinks this is Christianity. He clearly describes both as religious experiences, and NEITHER is Christian. I'll say it again. He is using TWO NON-CHRISTIAN cults to debunk the legitimacy of Christianity.
First... the example given is NOT Christianity. God is universally true and part of our identity. What he is giving example of is PENTECOSTAL CHARISMATIC practice of falling out, slain in the spirit, etc, and it is strictly UN-Biblical, NOT Christianity, NOT anything , as you see , from God. The preacher is a cop out calling himself a christian. there is NO legitimate Christianity represented in this video. BUT, the CHARISMATICS DO employee these TRICK & MANIPULATIONS thru emotion
when i was in new orleans, helping out with the katrina aftermath, i ran into a hare krshna guy who was raising money for an orphanage or something. he gave me a book on yoga. (come to think of it, he looked rather like dhalsim as i recall.) it made me happy that he showed an interest in me although certainly i am no believer in his creed.
can this really be called a conversion? wouldn't it be simpler to say that a man with a gentle voice made an overture that he cares about her well-being and she then felt like she had been hugged?
that isn't really very mysterious. take an interest in others and they like it. amazing.
Why would an atheist go to to a meeting about spirituality, unless they were open to the idea. Not all atheists can logically back up why they don't believe. Some just call themselves that because they have'nt really put much thought into it all.
I deconverted from christianity and ... well i wasn't a very strong believer in the first place. But i had some belief that something is controling our faith.
At a certain state of my life i had some rought times and there realy wasn't a lot of things to do for me in reality. so i though i could give he bible a shot to give me some hope for the future. and so i sat down to read it.
after reading it, i finally decided that all this must be a huge madeup story. it didn't take me long to ...
... (continued) realise that even my very weak belief had their roots in this story but it made me realise one thing:
the reason i actually felt bad about my life was mostly because of things that happened to me in the past. The thought that something controlls my fate gave ment to me that these kinds of things will repeat themself until the day i can't stand em any more.
my disbelief freed my mind from a permanent depression and thereby helped me. but i had to take a look at religion first.
instant conversion to what? what was the meeting about exactly? Just because someone has no god belief does not mean they are not superstious. I know plenty of them....they are into weird crap like reiki or ghosts, and even magic rocks lol
If you want to believe and you will...they say religion is the opiate of the masses. People like to belong to the majority...don't want to be the "odd" one out.
I first saw this in a Uni class about pseudoscience and magic. I thought then, as I do now, that his techniques are just like those charismatic faith evangelicals. You know, exorcists and such. This confirmed for me that it was all just hypnosis.
He has made me more rational than I ever thought I would be. He's the greatest psychic out there, and tells us honestly it's all tricks and that nobody is psycic. Lol!

@BadWolfMom --- Apparently you still don't quite understand.
ALL gods, including the god(s) of the Bible, are imaginary characters!
ALL religions, including all sects of christianity, are cults of delusional people!
ALL the so-called holy books, including the Bible, are fairytales!
You've been brainwashed, gods are created by men, not the other way around!
