One thing about this series was that Coach Adelman let the team down by not playing Abdul-Wahad enough. Hornacek had a very hard time against him, but was much more successful against Maxwell and Barry.
Abdul-Wahad was way too physical inside for Hornacek but didn't play enough.
Hornacek couldn't handle Abdul-Wahad at all in the paint. Abdul-Wahad gave them a great post up matchup against Hornacek as well as a clear rebounding advantage over Hornacek. Maxwell did not have anywhere near as much of a physical advantage over Hornacek as Abdul-Wahad did.

This video reminded me of why I absolutely hated the Vlade-Webber led Kings teams. That team was the whiniest group of players I have ever seen. They complained after almost EVERY single call that went against them. Just look at all their complaining on this very video that's supposed to be glorifiying them. And then when they would go on their little offensive runs their bench would go insane like they just won the championship every single time. No professionalism on that team. Disgusting.

That was just a few months before I became a Kings fan, so I didn't see the game, but how were the Kings even in it if those two guys only combined for 17?
I remember being 8 years old sneaking to my neighbor's house to watch this game. I was BEGGGINNNNG the Kings to put J-Will in and let him and Mad Max play together in OT, but then again, it IS Rick Adelman. What do you expect??
It's fine. The Kings got their revenge a few years later.
