  • And this is news, why?

  • When Jim Henson died so did TV. :(

  • Why did they abandon that yellow duck?

  • The duck is priceless! Love it.

  • Come back, Jim Henson. We all miss you so much. The word genius gets overused, but if it was ever used correctly, it was used correctly as re: James and his team of brilliant mad people. "The clock has struck about 17..." hahahaha Humour of this class for kiddies just does not exist anymore.

  • hit the number 6

  • lol at his face on 2:07 and 2:08

  • HOW could a guy get killed that way?

  • I certainly hope that clock wasn't a rental.

  • @jpeavler1975 It was a rental and they were mad for that.

  • I remember a film sketch when a African-American boy puts on his pajamas, goes to bed with his teddy bear, and dreams about his day. At the end of that sketch, his father comes to check on him and the teddy bear winks. I've been trying to find it. Does anyone have that sketch or know where I can find it, or know what season it's from? It may have been from Canadian Sesame Street, since I live in Canada. Maybe someone living in Canada who reads this knows about that sketch?

  • Is Kermit wearing a necklace? I saw something sparkling on his neck.

  • Technically speaking, the clock COULD strike 17...if it were 5 P.M. and the clock ran on military time.

  • This episode is brought to you by the letter C, H, and by the number 17.

  • "How come I always get these nursery rhyme things? A guy could get killed doing this! I'm getting out of here!" I wonder if he quit after this?

  • who sends a horse to do a mouse's job? lol.

  • Did Jerry Nelson do the voice of Fred The Wonder Horse?

  • @Paulywint Jerry did the voice of the duck in this sketch. Frank Oz actually did the voice of the horse in this news flash though Jerry would later go on to be the voice of Fred.

  • @Paulywint

    Yes he did.

  • Geez ! A kid's TV show with a "what you can do is get outta here..." comment and a non-laughing priceless face after the "hickory dickory Duck" comment gets thumbs up for life.

  • @tool26 I definitely agree. You can't find this on sesame street now.

If you like this, you should check out the "People in Your Neighborhood" with the dentist and bus driver.

  • Fred The Wonder Horse: GUNG-HOOOOOO!!!!! LOL

  • Fred The Wonder Horse: Out Of My Frog I'm Going To Run Up That Clock Of Yours.

  • I've heard of people "running OUT of time" before, but this was the first time I ever saw somebody running INTO it.

  • Rizzo the rat should have guest starred in this sketch.

  • @Angie2343

What would be the fun in that?

  • Does anyone whose voice is at the beginning that says: "We take you noq to Kermit the Frog for another fast-breaking news story!"?

  • @wheels8268 Jerry Nelson, better known as the voice for Floyd Pepper, and Robin the Frog.

  • @wheels8268 Who else? Jerry Nelson.

  • The horse ran right through the clock and broke it, but it struck seventeen!

  • the horse destroed a clock

  • LOLZ

  • Heh, I like how he starts talking to someone off screen. I'd like to see Kermit lose it like O'Reilly did.

  • Hey, Duck! Who d'you think you are, Daffy?!

  • ...And the clock has struck about seventeen....

I wish they still did these so my little brother could see them.

  • you can't run up that clock, you're a hores

  • I miss seeing the News Flash!! I love the old muppets!!!!

  • KILLING TIME!!!

  • I liked that description someone gave earlier delineating the breaking process. Could you please post that again?

  • QAUCK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK!

Just a second, this is a DUCK!

  • Comment removed

  • Why is it so hard for people to post video with synced audio?

  • About the horse trouncing through the clock and ruining it, that gives a whole new meaning to the expression "Clocking out".

  • Or killing time! YUCK YUCK YUCK YUCK!

  • Maybe it's "time for a break". LOL!!!!

  • "GUNG HOOOOOOOOO!" lol.

  • hey, you tube... how about an advertising-free zone for Sesame Street?!

  • Poor clock.

  • LOL what you can do is get outta here.

  • You wouldn't hear the word ''killing'' on Sesame Street today.

  • Man, you wouldn't see a horse destroying a grandfather clock on Sesame Street today.

  • @gomiwomi lol your so right. Sesame Street was better back then.

  • Are you sure you wouldn't like a Hickory Dickory Duck?

  • Blooper: On 2:05, the horse mistakenly starts to run through the clock, and then on 2:10 the horse runs through the clock as it was supposed to have the mouse run through the clock. This happened due to a silly mistake with the rhyme.

  • I remember seeing the scene and blooper of the horse running through the clock when it was supposed to be the mouse running up the clock, which was seen on "The Best of Kermit".

  • Kermit rocks. The Muppet Show was better though, geared a bit more for the older kids and adults.

  • high quality!!!

  • I like the fact that there's no real point to this, the horse simply showing up for no reason! "and the clock has just struck 17..."

  • i remmeber this character when I was a kid

  • Hang on time piece fans. LOL

  • and the clock has struck about 17... xD

  • Whooopeee i love kermit and these news on nersuery rhymes

  • The ending with the clock getting smashed reminds me of "Inspector Gadget!"

  • t.v. needs to bring back the muppet show! =)

  • I love these old skits!
