  • Thats a nice, clean looking kit, good job guys. I know how tight an engine bay is in the f-bodys, not an easy task!!! simply changing the sparkplugs in my 96 is a job in itself, let alone the wires!!! props... looks like you need a corona as bad as i do :-)

  • @CUZC0M Funny because I bought the intercooler in the US, it's part of the PTK turbo kit. And the installation was done in Guayaquil, Ecuador, very far away from mexico.

  • Is been more than a year since i put that setup together, i sold the car already and it still runs flawlessly with his new owner, it still has the stock internals, i just left the pressure at 10 psi max, and a lot of live tuning with Jet DST software.

  • lol it's not that hard... go pick up a Chilton book for the year and make of your car and read all the way through it until you understand how to replace every part in your car... when parts start going out, replace them. it's hard when you have no idea what to do but if you stick with it and do everything yourself you'll learn alot. i started working on cars about 5 years ago and i still don't know how to replace everything. but pretty close. read/experience or go to school for it. easy.

  • 10psi is not that much for a stock engine, and the reason your friends 300zx engine blew was prolly because of a bad tune.

  • i think 10 PSI is too much for a stock engine. i had a friend he had a nissan 300zx and put a twing turbo in it with a stock ingine 3 day's later he blown it because the stock piston can't handle that much of horsepower. he's only boosting under 6 PSI. so did you already install your turbo does it run good?

  • As long as the turbo is big enough to support the large displacement its fine, heck, look at most diesel V8's, there mostly single turbo, just really big

  • no, its all about the turbo's capacity to drive air.....

    some people may benefit finacially from choosing the twin turbo option if struck with a deal or they may simply prefer the look of it, then again some people think its better to have 2 turbos pushing and when pressure is drawn away from one side the other is at max capacity.

    Im not going to speculate what i think is better coz they are my thoughts, but I hope I answered your question

  • To better answer your question mikabrandl. To single turbo a v engine you have to rout the exhaust from both manifolds. Which involves custom manifolds or a rear mount setup requiring an oil pump to draw oil back to the pan since drain lines rely on gravity to feed oil back to the pan.
