Awesome to see 2 people making great music and getting totally different tones out of the same guitar. Larry has "loaned" this same guitar to Robben Ford. From what I hear its been a 20 year loan. Im guessin they toss it back and forth. Very kool
I've never heard anybody play an electric guitar with as much dynamic range as Larry. There should be a picture of Larry in the dictionary after "expressiveness"!
@Modes9 Well put!!! He's always been one of my biggest influences for that reason.....among others; phrasing, note choices etc. Seen him a few times live.....NEVER disappointing!!! I think he's a bit underrated. Really deep stuff. Just beautiful, expressive ( like you say ), masterful guitar work indeed!!!!
Is that a 57 gold top???

this is awesome, but joe bonamassa stil stays my favo guitarist

@LiveMinecrafting
Joe Bonamassa is a fine guitarist with tons of soul who's preachin' the Blues and the good
stuff. I'm a fan!
But, Larry Carlton is a whole lot older and more literate in the jazz realm. Check out Steely Dan's 'The Royal Scam' and 'Aja' for a primer.
Joe will get there someday. Of that I have no doubt.

It's a '57, that was given to Robben Ford on long-term loan from Larry Carlton. You can see Robben play it on live videos here on Youtube.
