  • F.O.R.D. just goes to show that it does stand for Found On Road Dead. Lmao

  • @MrFerrariman1 Thanks for watching.

  • Nice job every tow/recovery is different... You gota think on the fly doin this job....

  • Texting caused that, dumb four-wheelers, just cause you weigh under 5 tons, does't mean you can text and drive, or cut a 75,000 pound semi off.:)

  • @Chopstcks58 lol Thanks for the comment.

  • again with the driving pull, i love to see it......

  • @MrSteelRollin Thanks. This one of my favorites.

  • Just as if you pulled it out of a snow bank , smooth man gooder :) especially on a incline like that! I am paranoid of chains and cables snapping that is why I am not cut out for it lol

  • @CapnCrossbones Hey thanks for the nice comment.

  • I'm working on my own web site. sites.google.com/site/tomsrecoveryvideos/

It's in construction stage at this point.

  • nice video.. i prefer the double snatch block and dead man and just winch the dmn thing out but still very nice recovery... i did one similar to that out here in az damn kid drove straigh off the mountain had to repel to hook it up

  • @soldierk4 yes you need a cfl for air brakes and a BBQ is gross vehicle weight

  • beauty lil tow truck!

  • Having been in a line of work that allowed me to see a lot of recoveries, it's nice to see a pro at work. Some of the tow truck drivers I've seen really shouldn't be in the business (particularly with big rigs) and some end up having to be recovered themselves (and I'm not referring to rookies - some people just don't seem to care or take pride in their work).

  • Oh and from a 30 year towing professional.....That recovery, although a little HARD ON the cable, was fine. There is no ONE way to do a recovery and if you think there is, find another line of work, your not cut out for this. Peace

  • @gstanz67 Thank You.

  • Listen kids. The towing industry is suppose to be a brother/sisterhood of proffessionals encouraging and respecting the industry, its methods, its practices, and its various skills. Now every single one of you, At one time knew NOTHING....let me repeat that...NOTHING about how to tow, recover, or transport a vehicle did you? So now that somebody else gave you this knowledge are you going to let your own insecurities prevent you from encouraging and teaching someone else? Stop letting your own..

  • immaturity and lack of knwldg as well as your OBVIOUS need for validation stain what could be a learning exp for some, instead of a ego circle jerk, with complete strangers on the net. Which results in no benefits to anybody or anything except your own dysfunctional issues If you dont have anything nice, OR CONSTRUCTIVE to say then do us all (more importantly, do yourself) a favor a dont bother saying anything at all. Now to get the rest of the planet to do the same..

  • fucking ranger abuse sheesh

  • thats what you get for buying a ford

  • wtf is with people and pulling casualties like that? You have cables and a boom, thats what they're there for. Use them.

  • @effingtools He did use the cable.

  • do you need a cdl? whats the GVW

  • Great recovery ...... I enjoy watching you work. If I ever need a driver to

pull me out of a lousy situation, I don't want anybody else handling it.

  • @flatbedbill Thanks Bill.

  • @sommer1477 Reading all the comments by this dek whimp, it just

dawned on me: He's THREATENED by you. He's a tad insecure and

actually believes people give a rats aszs about his opinion. LOL!

"I'd do this" and "I'd do that" and "everybody who I show this video too

all says the same thing" and "You'd be fired"

"Everybody" is probably abybody who happens to be sitting next to him

waiting for their Methadone treatment ..........

    LOL!

  • Sommer1477, this dek3383 is probably one of those guys who can't think for himself and never tries anything tht he wasn't tought. You know, one of those guys that keeps traffic tied up for an hour and a half to clear a wreck. Good job.

Oh and dek3383, if your truck can't do that without susbstsining damage, it's time for a better truck.

  • @JAD0577

    Thanks Mr. Jad0577

  • I wouldn't have done it that way, but clearly the guy knows his equipment and it worked. Nothing broken either. Good job. Nice truck, BTW.

  • flatbed, i think with operators like sommer1477 your company is screwed anyways. you guys should just stick to AAA. next time just post a video of you two guys doing jumpstarts and lockouts. after atching his videos i wonder if he is qualified to even do them either

  • looks like sommer1477 & flatbedbill have there heads up each others asses. kinda funny everyone i show this video to all kinda say the same thing. another worthless driver who ass would be fired if he worked for us.. you guys must both need some training

  • @dek3383 i think a 3/8ths or 1/2 inch cable can handle a ranger jerking around. I have recovered f-550's with horse trailers on them with a 3/8ths cable.. yeah it was pushing the limits HARD, but the damn cable is strong enough to pull a 3400 lb truck out of the ditch.

  • Hey, Sommer1477 - obviously the last poster has his head up his fanny.

See folks, I with with Sommer1477, and

he's forgotten more than most drivers

will ever know. Our Company would be skrewed without him. I've seen him do recoveries from narrow goat trail roads that most Companies wouldn't touch. To you armchair quarterbacks out there, STFU. You don't know what you're talking about. By the way, Great Recovery Sommer1477.

  • Thanks flatbedbill. It appears there is a lot of idiots out their. This last idiot was so caught up on thinking I was bragging. He should meet Dave...lol

  • let me ask you a question, do you think your on WRECKED or something trying to make your own version. spend less time on the camera and more time learning your job

  • sommer1477, as i ssit here and look at all the comments made. which many said you did it wrong and the only replies i see from you are calling everyone newbies and fat toothless people. seems kinda petty and childish for a guy of your self proclaimed "towing greatness" to have such an unprofessional attitude. maybe after you learn to properly use your truck and you get some education in manners. just a sugestion. hell i think you can prob take a course online to learn how to treat other humans

  • lol, judging by the way you operate a tow truck your the only one who should be embarrassed. sorry if i miss spelled a word. but i know i can spell untrained rookie right, which is you.. keep blowing smoke up your own ass about the recovery you did. like i said before stick to AAA and cross country and let the recoveries to professionals jr

  • sommer1477, i get the feeling you think your a godsend to towing. as far as i see you recovered the vehicle but no properly. i do believe you are untrained and a back woods operator with little training. i will go recovery vs recovery with you anyday. your backwoods ways, verses my properly trained ways any real operator knows better than to use the truck as you did... you should stick to AAA maybe post some of them jumpstarts you do uo and let the recovies to the pro's

  • Don't embarrass your self anymore then you did...LOL By the way learn how to spell before you post on my recoveries.

  • Good Job

  • Thank You!

  • TADA!!!!

  • When a vehicle is wrecked and needs recovered you do what you have to do. You should always recover it in a safe manner. , but if the vehicle is already smashed all around, scratching or bending the rocker panels isn't going to do anything more in damage. It's not like they are going to be driving the vehicle anyways. And when they get it back, everything will be replaced. That is what insurance is for. It might not have been wreckmaster approved, the operator did what he had to do..Nice Job

  • Comment removed

  • LOL..........Stick around a while towdude...lol

  • @towdude21 fuck the vehicle being recovered, it was a piece of junk, mostl ikely totaled chevy. We typically use our winches vs. using our trucks power but this recovery turned out nicely.

  • the operator of this truck is a dumb ass. you should just trade in tha t$100,000 wrecker for a $30,000 pick up. would do the same thing . ever think of using the truck with the winches and boom it has on it???. attend wreckmaster and you'll learn how to use it properly. people like you embarass the rest of us

  • Yeah talk to me when you get some teeth, you fat ass loser, Another toothless fat ass that knows NOTHING..LOL

  • Comment removed

  • I'm going to have to side with dek3383 on this one.

Plus that comment that about being a fat toothless loser was pretty weak.

  • good recovery

  • Thank you!

  • Anyone using one of my trucks did that and I would have fired them. That said, I've been lazy and used the drivetrain to pull vehicles back on the road before.

People are right it is the wrong way, but who hasn't tried it?

  • But its your trucks, Thats different,

I can thrash on my shit all I want too, Cause its mine, But when someone else does it, Its a different story, At least my outlook

  • cool truck!!!

  • that trucks a beauty i dont think i would choose yellow its too bright lol

  • That's AAA colors. No choice.

  • this is gay hahahaha

  • Thanks for the warning. I'm pretty confident with twin line 5/16 cable though.

  • i tell you what I've been towing for 13 years and I'm not saying you can't make a recovery like that. just saying your chances of equipment failure are a little higher. yes you had control, but you know as much as i do that wire rope ain't cheap and i don't know about you company but for us you break it you buy it.

  • let me ask you something. What would have happened if you would have broken something in the drivetrain? How far down is that imbankment? I have broken a universal joint while pulling a car( town car) and rolled about ten feet back into the other cars that were in the wreck I was town from. Just giving you a heads up. Please be as safe as you can brother!

  • @mrrodneyalong Your comment was a perfect example of what people should be doing here.Sharing our combined knowledge and exp in a non threatening, abusive, or childish way. E1 TAKE NOTES. Even if he already knows this info, GREAT...but maybe he didn't and next time he's jerking a vehicle over an embankment he stops and takes another look at it. Wouldn't saving an accident make y'all feel better than knowing your failure OR IGNORANCE to provide someone with it possibly injured or killed somebody?

  • I had total complete control, you don't know what your talking about. Are you new to the business?

  • I Just think it's a bad idea to recover that way. No control...bad situation...

  • what you rather him back down the hill to get it :p its not like he just drove off with the car like that he just pulled it out big deal and if the car fell off it would just go back down the hill not like its not a write off already...

  • i miss the tow life :/

  • SOOOOOOOO, maybe your the oif, and what the hell doe's stfu stand for, let me guess your from england right!!! you retards can't spell for shit

  • HAHA you just showed your intelligence !!!!small to med duty trucks have the same trannys as normal truck, They do not have tougher trannys, I have an 06 Ford F-650 4 door W/ 21 Ft steel bed, with a cummins 24v and a allison 6 seed, same tranny that they put in the chevy duramax 2500 & 3500 PICKUP TRUCKS!!!!,

  • Hey kid, go out and get some experience before you criticize someone else. You don't know what your talking about and you sound ridiculous.

  • You have to admit though, you were pretty close to the edge with your rear wheels as warned by someone in your vid? Not the way I would do a recovery, but then i wasn't there either and it looked tight. All worked out in the end so congrats to you big fella.

  • idot huh, the only idot is you, learn how to use your equ. not your truck, it's going to be funny when one day you have a video of your truck sitting on top of a car down off a hill side with you in it

  • you are mentally challenged. u oif all people should know that tow trucks are built up with tougher trannys that normal trucks. mister bigshot semi tow truck. so stfu

  • Oh oh Another IDIOT that thinks he knows what he's talking about...Where do you people come from...lol

  • thats a good way to blow a tranny out, or get someone killed, I drive a semi wrecker, and a custom international and I would never ever would pull a crash out of a ridge like that, you got lucky but you luck will fade on day, and if you worked for me and did that, your ass would be gone

  • hey jack ass thats his job so back down and he can blow a tranny like that with that little stress

  • I'll be posting as I do them. I don't always have a camara man though. The crash victom just happened to be willing to shoot that one for me. I don't think I got the part where the rear end was stuck on a tree truck. It took all I had to free it...lol

  • Damn very nice pick up. You got to much power for that pull. LOL. Got any more vids?

  • Hey thanks markbryans. I will be posting more when I can.

  • Nice recovery, plenty of power there!

  • wow nice tow truck!

  • Thanks, I'm proud of it.

  • Yanking a vehicle out my using the truck's power is often times the best and most efficient way of recovering a wreck. Better than blocking both lanes for an hour. Good job!

  • Hey thanks. There seems to be a bunch of want a be rookies making negative comments on my recovery technique for some reason. You can tell by there comments they don't know what there talking about. But thanks for your comment.

  • Yup, I used to drive a 50 ton Pete and sometimes, unless you have the luxury of having a rotator, you have no choice but to pluck the vehicle out with the use of your truck's power and traction. Unless of course you're the schmuck that keeps unhooking and repositioning his truck during the recovery. Wreckmaster means nothing, experience and common sense mean everything.

  • I just love rotators I drive a NRC Slider 95 tonne custom rotator.

  • @1pinchipendejo Best comment. This guy knows what he's talking about. Common sense means everything.

  • You must not have your wreck master, your truck should have remained stationary while recovering the vehicle.

  • Another IDIOT! Enough said...lol

  • Hey,that's my truck!Yup,I'm the idiot who fell asleep at the wheel, drove my truck down the creek..The tow truck driver did a hell of a job! It was the hottest day of the year, peak tourist season, traffic backed up in both directions, narrow road, branches wedged under the frame, steep, dusty and in full view of everyone from my little town...Oh,the gossip...I actually considered just leaving it down there...It helped that 1477 was cool and knew his shit...I'll try to stay awake next time! Thanks!

  • LOL.....Thanks Dino94970, it was a fun recovery though, at least as soon as the branch finally broke that was wedged in the axle, then POP out she came.

  • You can say that again. Thanks Mike.

  • Nice grab Sommer, that truck in the yard is cash!!! Lot of bone heads on here that don't know shit about towing. Cya in the ditch,Mike

  • thats so gay.

  • wow seems to be either alot of haters or alot of rookies who have never had to open a roadway before while state troopers or highway patrol have it shut. As for that being abuse of the truck, no way, I do the same work of the Belt parkway BQE in New york city with my 3500HD twinline, pull it as far a needed then drag it, if it rolls into the back it ain't gonna hurt the truck, wheel lift stops it. Good job

  • Finally somebody that knows what there talking about. Thanks Chaser53pin.

  • You're Welcome.

  • Actually shipclip since your a newbie to towing and recovery Ill be nice and explain. Once you get the vehicle near the top as I did and you on a as narrow a road as I was, the only way to go is to drive out of it. You Go UPHILL though. Learn from others don't criticize that what you don't know. Every recovery will be different.

  • Ya do what ya gotta do to get it done. Nice work Summer! My first thought was why didn't he just bring it up and drop it in the wheel lift but after looking at the video a second time the confined area explained it's self. You got it out and you did not loose control of it. Good work!

  • Thank You.

  • Oh no not another MORON that doesn't no what he's talking about. You want a be toothless tow drivers need to get a life. Look at the sign IDIOT. I guess you would have side pulled it out. What an IDIOT. Stay away from mens work kid.

  • Well I may not have been around towing for long BUT I do know the difference between using and abuseing your equipment, and that is boarderline. Also the comments you made in your reply to my opinion on this recovery paints a clear picture of your profesionalism as a dirver or an owner of the truck. I only hope that you do not show this side to your customers.

  • Isn't that what winches are for? Maybe too lazy to pull cable??

  • that wheel holder needs some training or find something else to do for a living..

  • The tow truck driver. Why would you drive forward with the P/U on there like that? That is why we have winches. What would you of done if the P/U would or rolled into the back of your truck since it was in nuteral? Learn to rig, use Holmes trees, and do it the right way. Stop making us look bad.

  • Which one, the Recovery driver or the pick up driver?

  • I would fire that driver in a heartbeat.
