  • Nothing left at all some old tires people dumped. You can see old peices of yellow wood laying around that's about it

  • Where is this at in Youngstown oh I used to live in Warren and I never even heard if this :)

  • It sucks that the Wildcat burned down and forced the park to close

  • i used to live in the house on the dead end. remember me and my boys sneaking in and walking around

  • Chippewa lake is older. Why abandon such places when so many people had lifelong memories?

  • tell that girl to get a new jacket looks terrible

  • I am from Youngstown and went there often as a kid and it was a fantastic little park! Mill Creek Park is right next to Idora and is beautiful. I was lucky to have grown up there! So sad its gone.

  • Is it still standing?

  • @marshalljimduncan Actually No, The entire Park was buldozed a few years ago, there is almost NO residue of what used to be there...The Fist 2 minutes of this made my tear up, I rode the wildcat 100 times and even rode last in 1983, then watched in HORROR in 1984 as the Main turn Burned. To think 1-1.5 Million dollars would have repaired it (at the time). No it's gone forever..

  • this is cool

  • there seem to be a lot of abondoned places in ohio

  • @Gameday2159 yea

  • Were the coaster cars stolen like at Chippewa Lake?

  • @Scioneer yea they where and i know who has them...and they are chairs in his basement now haha and im not kitting

  • @JCcountry1213

He at least kept them mostly intact I hope. They could be museum pieces someday now that a coaster museum is in the works.

  • When was this place abandoned?

  • @ogugu124 It was abandoned on September 1984.

  • i can still smell the french fries

  • nice video of that old SPOOKY abandoned park. one time i went into an old abandoned drive in theater in methuen massachusetts U.S.A. and found all kinds of cool stuff including an old safe with lots of something still inside. didnt get in but did come home with all the amazing lenses from the old projectors. they look like something from a mad scientists lab. question: do you know of any vids here on youtube where someone finds electricity on one of the rides and attempts to turn it on??

  • back in the 70's the Wildcat was rated one of the tope 10 Rollercoasters in the country!

  • This is sad I bet you this place was wonderful when it was open.

The roller coaster looked good it is's day

  • This video kinda gives you a "Blair Witch Project" kinda feeling...

  • i've lived in youngstown my entire life but was born in 87, i would have loved to have seen this place in it's heyday

  • Its really sad to see these parks closing down. But at the same time its kinda cool to see. Tresspassing was pretty fun as a kid.

  • My step Dad's band POOBAH played at Idora Park several times in the 70's. He said it used to be a fun place, back then, with huge crowds. POOBAH recorded 2 songs live for their Rock Collection CD at Idora Park.

  • My girlfriend and I went in there twice. There's nothing left now and a church owns it not doing anything with it. The one time we went in there like this we almost got caught, but cheesed it out of there undetected.

  • Any Chances of still getting into this and doing what they did?

  • no, none of it is there now. (according to other people who have posted videos)

  • man these abandoned parks could be good for the film business if they had to shoot a horror or action movie or tv show.

  • My dad took me in there just like that when i was 5 years old and i still got the pictures from it.

  • its just sad to see amusement park like this one abandoned. and where is this

  • its gone now

  • It was in Youngstown, Ohio. What I wouldn't give to ride the Wildcat or Jack Rabbit again...

  • i dont undersatnd y they r soooo quite the park is owned by mill creek park now and what r they going to do say hay ur not aloud to be here grrr....

  • It's been awhile since I've lived in Youngstown. Did that weird church place finally sell?

  • wow that would be sorta creepy if i was there. its sad to see rides in that condition

  • Awesome, but who exactly would catch and arrest you for being there?

    Is that really private property?

  • wow, i hate to see amusement parks in this kind of condition

  • Everyone I know who's been to the old park in years past after it closed knew a different hole in the fence to get in. No wonder some idiots were able to burn it down piece by piece over the years. I took a walk through Idora the day after Christmas last week and finally decided to get a big chunk of the Wildcat that was on the ground. Hell, I don't even know what I could possibly do with it. Funny how old memories can come down to a chunk of rotten wood with yellow paint on it. Cool video.
