  • Yeah, I remember the story of the Japanese attacking Tucson but Mickey saved the day with his .50 cal one-two!

  • I don't get it. Are we fighting the Japanese in Afghanistan or Iraq?

  • Cool Burgess Meredith. That is great. "He is not obsolete" Twilight Zone.. God Bless those strong service men. Stoped evil, "before it came here" We werent over there pissing off first. Duhhh.. BTW VOTE RON PAUL......2012

  • Wow, the real American military where they actually won wars with guts. Now we get to fight next to little girls and fags. Same thing really. Back when America was GREAT and STRONG, and the US pulled together for a cause. Now it's "what do I get". We are so fucking weak now, and getting weaker by the day. Wish I was a teenager in the early 40's. Sure it woulda sucked in WW2, but I bet it was better than seeing what America has become now. Sad. Damn ass sad.

  • @mbs169 Kid, here's the thing.

In WW11, it was completely serious, you had one choice, win or die.

The 'Enemy' had one goal. Your destruction. If you did'nt fight, in whatever capacity, at home, or the front, you died, simple as that.

    SIMPLE AS THAT.

Everything else was just window dressing.

    Got it?.

  • This is hilarious and as rear gunner was most dangerous spot they sure needed this kinda crap to get new flesh.

  • Such a great film. We could all take a lesson from it....that every American has a responsibility to national service of some kind.

  • @Ulleval73 im on 0:45 and regocnise propaganda movie wo none other values than those all have. In my country u go to army or jail (shit option called civil service is too) but this law for it is old. Way older than me and world has changed alot. So if u dont have this i garantee it is step back and "war mongering".

  • We're lucky the film has survived---this print, at least, shows a lot of deterioration. Nitrate stock just wasn't meant to last.

  • Starring Burgess Meredith ! Right?

  • @elloungeking

    I say like you,indeed!

  • My Father Clarence Ziegler was a B-29 tail Gunner and flew the the first four missions over the hump in the B-29 Smokey Stover from Chakulia India. He enlisted at age 17 before Pearl Harbor! I always think of his bravery.

  • WIlliams?

    Yes Sir?

  • Love it !

  • And Ronald Reagan !

  • "I used to bull's-eye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters." ―Luke Skywalker.

  • "Great Burgess Meredith, don't get cocky!"

  • I wish a man in a pith helmet would shake my hand... why, I'd be willing to die for that. NOT. Win the war for the man and his bullshit state, so for the rest of my life, my kids life, and my grand kids life, he can bury me in lies, tax my ass on multiple levels, zoom up behind me in cop cars, arrest me, and imprison me. NOT. Peewee here should of shot that guy in the pith helmet in the face, instead of selling out and working for the man.

  • If you're fed up with this state and want to start your own damn revolution and state, get yourself your own pith helmet. Do a youtube search for "Psycho Mall Walker". Velvereee, velveraaah, velverah ha hah hah ha.

  • Hahahaha... I seen a fucker Ronald Reagan again... hahaha

  • L O L that whas a dead rear gunner I can tell you!!!

when a enemy plane hits your window from such a short distance,

it will go straight through it!!!

But hey, they didnt want to scare any possible interested people before they signed their self in for hell!!!

    Funny footage

  • @Weibkoln No. If they had, you might not have been here to shoot off your mouth, seventy years later.

  • Thanks for uploading !

  • At the risk of actually missing one, I liked each Twilight Zone episode that Burgess Meredith was in.

  • Two great under used actors. Reagan looks as good in command of a bomber as he did in command of the nation. Wish we had someone like that in the White House again.

  • My Dad was a B-24 Radio Man/Gunner in the Pacific....GREAT film!!!

  • FLASH TRAFFIC/

    B-24 FORCED DOWN IN CALIFORNIA

BY JAPANESE FIGHTER PLANE IN 1943,

[area 51 must have moved a bit....]

  • REAGAN LOOKED LOST AS A PILOT AS WELL, EASY TO FIGHT A WAR BEHIND A CAMERA.

  • PEE WEE LOOKS LIKE HE SMOKED ONE TOO MANY BANANA SKINS!

  • im am surprised....no one said anything about Ronald Regan playing the part of the b-24 pilot

  • why does it keep 'whiting out'?

  • @skintrade

improperly stored celluloid. too many years of neglect does

bad things to old film stock.

  • Just like that he goes from window cleaner to gunner! lol crazy shit

  • that was good

  • This is a great video!

  • Burgess Meredith was a star on Broadway before this...wasn't he in "Out Town" in the original production? Gosh he's done alot of roles. Anyone remember that he was in "In Harms Way" along with the all star cast? I imagine him telling Preminger, "oh yeah, I have experience making war films, (way before you were a director, Otto")

  • @powergirl901 Wasn't he also The Penguin in the 60's Batmen series?

  • @HaroldSchreuder Yes, he was the trainer in "Rocky" (19776) too. Lots of acting there.

  • Yeah, the big, tall Nebraska boys were the pilots, and the squat NY boys (or my dad from California) flew in the cramped gun positions like Ball and Rear.
