Ruby Payne, thanks for keeping the poor...poor! While you go on your shopping sprees during lunch breaks of your 'motivational' speeches, remember the money you spent and where you're headed! You and your philosophy are truly sickening.
...but bliss is not ignorance...First of all, not everyone in America is a materialistic consumer, so your opinion and generalization of Americans is being subjective (The point you're trying to disprove...hmmm, lol). On your cliche, "numbers don't lie", take a quantitative research class, and learn how numbers can be easily manipulated!

Ignorance is bliss...check out the statistics.Opinions are subjective but, the numbers don't lie.
P.S.-Everyone in America shops and spends money...maybe if you apply what Payne has proven true to your own life you can go on a shopping spree.
