@rmcdaniel423 It's so sad to me. After converting from Christianity to Agnosticism about to years ago, I now look at it all in a different light. I now view all religions as a poison, an enemy of free thought and, an object of oppression and enslavement. You're absolutely right that so many people just willingly accept their enslavement -- this weakness, is what makes religion so effective. Religion preys upon the weaknesses of mankind, using rewards and fear as tools.

If God made everybody in a particular way to where they will always understand everything it would bore God. Like if you had a son/daughter, and you force him/her to love you somehow, are you as happy knowing that they don't love you willingly? no, you want your child to willingly love you and that's why God doesn't want us to be forced to do everything right or understand EVERYTHING. people try to be all nit-picky about the Bible when they just need to know that Jesus love them :D

@Takkization Except believers are kind of forced into believing. Believe in him or suffer eternal damnation. Which even if you still DO believe in him, the possibility of suffering eternal damnation still exists. I wouldn't call that 'free' will. Akin to someone holding you a gun to your head and giving you the free will of giving them your wallet and living, or dying and them still getting your wallet.

@goshops Sorry to be blunt, I don't like it but its the truth. God would get rid of the evil things of this world if he could, but what exactly is Evil? Do you want him to get rid of all of the evil or just some of it? our actions? words? thoughts? God has to be consistent. We should be eliminated because we think evil thoughts. if thats true than we should be eliminated. But I thank God for sending his son to take the punishment i deserve so i can be with him in heaven. Simple as that.

And by the way, why would god even want to get rid of evil? It's something he wanted to be part of his creation in the first place, it's something he needs for his soul-filtering plan anyways (even though he's always known who goes to hell and who doesn't, so I guess he always wanted people burning in hell).

@Takkization Sure, the god of the bible is a comic book god. He needs to create evil, otherwise he has no purpose. Which is a part of why i dont believe. Earth is supposed to be the epitome, the culmination of gods work in the whole of eternity, and the whole idea of it is just so unimpressive considering the grandeaur of the universe. God could have come up with something WAYYY more exciting than this....

If God is supposedly perfect, perfection cannot produce imperfection. You can not split a diamond and some of the pieces become coal. So in the beginning, God was never perfect.

God is perfect. i suppose your theory makes sense that imperfection doesn't come from perfection, but you don't realise that God can do anything he wants plainly, and he actually DID make dam and Eve perfect, but they were perfect with "free will" and using that free will they were lead into temptation and ended up sinning, in which causes them to cease to be perfect.

The Bible has nothing to do with science or anything relating to science outside of creation I dont think anything in it could cross paths with it, the Bible is a spiritual and philisophical guide not a science textbook

@grozde Yes, Physical science is the study of naturally occuring phenomona in nature. You can't run scientific tests on a miracle for example it's an event that happens only once.

Don't forget about the Crusades, Christians invaded the "holy land" and slaughtered the occupents, the occupents being Muslims. Man, woman, child, animal, didn't matter. The bible even promotes that if a believer finds a village that doesn't believe, to burn it and the inhabitants to the ground. That isn't love or cooperation

I get so irritated when people try to justify the Bible as a whole since a few things in it are accurate, but ignore all the errors and fanciful claims.
