democracy is he basis of all modern and all "civilised" goverment. but the system itself is deeply flawed. however much the elected listens to the electorate there interpretations are still biased due the nature of the individual. this means that any politician be they of the best or worst intention can not express a truly democratic view. so there is no such thing as democracy. due to the constraints of the mind. therefore in its true sence as the very idea of democracy is an imposabilaty.

hey man, if you want something authentic, go get yourself enlightened or something. Incidentally, Plato's republic set the stage for control of the masses by an elite ruling class as opposed to a free market society, so I can't think of another approach to the whole subject except for cold detachment. Plato was, whether intentionally or unintentionally, one of the evilest people in history.
