  • I really like the video! I can see the orange amp is the best as always!!!!!!

  • Man, thanks for the video!!!

  • those are nice amps :) I have Orange and Marshall and they are good for practice :) and if you need to carry them on some field trips :)

  • do they sound any good plugged into and ipod also ?

  • I haven't tried them all the way you have, but I LOVE my orange Micro Crush. Runs on batteries, wood construction, tuner on board, awesome grill cloth, 1/4 inch input, massive overdrive for the 3 watts it puts out...there really isn't any comparison when talking about tone.

  • so with one gives u the best[full] sund i am not talkin about laudest one ;)

  • their price ?

  • @Rishabhgupta154 marshall: around $40, fender: also $40, orange: around $60

  • i would like to walk with my electric guitar and to play distortion with that thing!!!!!

  • the orange's great and I'd like to buy it soon but your strings seem to be too low on the frets

  • i had a fender mini twin and i blew the speaker haha.

  • ORANGE!

  • what one is the loudest? ..........

  • @prefixproductions1 the loudest one is the orange crush i think. its 3 watts, and the marshall is 1 watt

  • Does he realise these are PRACTICE amps, NOT professional ones? If i wanted to sound like a pro i`d be buying a big expensive amp.

  • @deckelpc I didn't realize - thanks for pointing that out!

  • @deckelpc Do you not see the amp heads in the back I think this guy knows a little something about amps.

  • @ErsiNur1 did you not see the title? Here's a clue > Orange vs Marshall vs Fender Micro Amp Shoot-Out TTK Style! Winter NAMM 2010 '10

Who mentioned the amps in the background? My comment refers to MICRO AMPS and stands. It would help if you had actually read the title so if he knows a little about amps has sod all to do with it!

  • @deckelpc and do you realize that professionals buy small top notch amplifiers to practice with? a practice amp does not NEED to sound bad...

  • @Defenderofeyre yes i do realise pros buy small top notch practice amps, but these are NOT top notch practice amps, they're cheap and chearful micro amps, see the difference? Just a tip but the word 'M i c r o' amp, maybe you should do a bit research on them.

  • what is the most cost effective at guitar center

  • i think i just might get the orange because the tunner looks easy to use

  • Is the Orange good for metal?

  • maybe the orange sounds more like a "real amp" but i do prefere the marshall's sound!

  • the marshall was much better in my opinion. the only cool thing about the orange is the tuner, but as far as over all sound, I think the ms-2 kills.

  • First off, awesome demo! haha and i want to get an orange tiny terror, but idk how it sounds with pedals. can you make a demo of it? i also use and orange 12w amp for practice so im a big orange guy haha

    Thanks

    -Rich

  • @rvallejos96 hey, how's the orange crush PiX 12L? i'm thinking abt getting it for practic

    e

  • @hardestcoresoldier Hey It sounds great! you can really get a good british overdrive kinda like a fuzz. I realy like it cus its small and sounds great! I would highly recommend it

  • @rvallejos96 yeah! awesome. i'm probably gonna buy this micro orange for christmas since i already hav a shtt amp and the micro is really cheap but i'll buy that orange 12 watt later :D. my current amp really sucks. i waz ripped off

  • @hardestcoresoldier If I were you i wouldn't even but the micro. all you really need is a practice amp( orange pix 12l) and a good gigging amp. Just more money wasted when you could save that over time and get a sweet pedal or something. Just my opinion though

  • @rvallejos96 ok thx but i rarely get to use my amp 'cause i only get time to use it at night and my 12 watt peavey is rather loud and it needs to be real loud to hear the overdrive and i won't be getting th orange 12 watt for a while. thats why i wanna get the micro..... it's small as well, portable

  • little amp big kick

  • my mini deluxe sounds great you need to try it with a start and clean setting

  • is he playing with a distortion pedal or do these amps sound like that??

  • JAJAJAJA... estan chistosos , comprare uno .

  • These amps need an Speaker output...

Dude, even the Smokey Amps have a speaker out, and it's just a one-chip circuit!!!

I'd really like to see a new review on them with them plugged into the same cab, so we could compare tones more evenly.

  • does it have a headphone jack?

  • You're a legend, that was a sweet video. I play through a Marshall Vlavestate 2000 and my brother recently got his first electric guitar without an amp, I'm going to get that Orange for him tomorrow, thanks for the vid!

  • Tone King, you are cool as hell!

  • is the tone lounge lounge a cramped space because you have like a thousand amps

  • Hehe "...so there you go. sounds like crap...."

  • There is also one micro amp from Ibanez DAG1. Did you try it? Any feedback on it?

    Thanks

  • There is also one micro amp from Ibanez DAG1. Did you try it? Any feedback on it?

    Thanks

  • Real nice tip. I have orange and i tried all of them at store. My choice was same as you which i bough orange only

  • just play it already, snap.

  • PETER GRIFFIN!!!!!!

  • Marshall 2:06

    Fender 3:22

    Orange 6:10

  • 'you know... sounds like I'm plugged into a 2inch speaker made outta plastic'

    Loved the vid dude :)

  • @lmajr Thanks for the info - after watching your review i bought the Orange and it is brilliant for such a small amp.

How long do you find the battery lasts?

  • those micro amps are amazing :D how much were they ? and talking real big amps which one out of all three of them is the best ?

  • im loving that porgange amp might go buy one my self :)

  • a question what guitar is that ?

  • @santi8647 Something from the Ibanez ART models..

  • I've played Marshalls for the last 5 years but recently switched to Orange.

A friend bought the Rockerverb100 and I was seriously blown away by how fucking amazing it is.

    Bought one a week later.

    Orange are bloody expensive though.

  • Don´t waste your time hahaha.... this is for lazy people

    Marshall - 2:00

    Fender - 3:20

    Orange - 5:30

  • @odahcaMleinaD

    ahah thanks xD

  • this was very cute, thank you

  • Do A Comparison Between The Marshall Kerry King JCM 800 Vs The Vox AD60VT!!!

I Have My Money On The Vox AD60VT!!!

  • 4:57 theres a fish on the amp!??!!

  • i think he was a bit biast ;)

  • orange crushes the other amps... micro amps that is... great video. BR & God bless

  • This video gave me a lot if help, I was deciding whether to get the Marshall or orange and I have decided to buy the orange, thanks man

  • lol i got one of those marshall micro amps when they first came out must of been close to 20 years ago now used to put it in front of my gibson saturn amp as a distortion pedal worked pretty good at the time

  • If you're such a tone king, why don't you ever mic amps in you're videos?

  • @JoeJackSmith In my newer videos (2010), most of my stuff is Mic'd up. YOu're commenting on a video that's over 1 year old.

  • @lmsjr My mistake, I just floated through some of your videos and made a generalization.

  • All 3 of these sound horrible. I used to use a Danelectro Honeytone amp and threw a Keeley Boss Metalzone in front of it and it sounded better then a lot of people's live setups. I only used it to screw around though. All of these mini amps are pointless unless you live in a show, or are under 10 years old. Just my $.02

  • I have all these 3 "toys". My Marshall is in red tho'. I also have a Dean Markley stack. Luv the Orange.

  • @roslih you have all the micro amps? the marshall ms 2, the fender mini twin, and the orange micro crush? i want one of them. what do you think is the best of them? why? but most importantly, what one was the loudest?

  • the worst, like he said was the fender although i have a 65watt frontman,i love the tone btw, this fender1-2watt amp sucks.

The marshall doesnt sound so bad but the orange owns.

Can u make a vs of the Mini3 Vox and the Orange ? haha

  • meaningless or not.... i really liked this video.. it´s cool to see a comparison on these amps.. .. i mean toys :o)

  • so there u go, sounds like crap !! hahahaha

  • I was wondering the purpose for these micro amps and thanks to your video I'm totally informed. Not sure if the comparison was fair but as expected the Orange washes up pretty nicely. Thankyou

  • It looks like you missed a few other features on the orange. I saw a couple of things on the back that looked like either an output & an adapter input.

Playing some actual music would have been a plus. Thanks anyway.

  • @gmrios headphone output =)

  • i wish this wans't so bias.

  • @jfhdylvr same, personallly i thought the fender competed well with the orange =), but again i would probably buy all three =) ha

  • Hey is 3 watt good enough for practicing at home???

  • Has anyone tried mic'ing a microamp up and using it for recording? Just curious... =)

  • @SubGordonUSN Frank Zappa i think did a recording on a Pignose Portable amp

  • if the orange only had a belt clip ...

  • Marshall sounds kinda better than Orange...Orange is built a lot better but a Marshall is a Marshall even as a micro amp toy thingy... I'm a huge fan of Fender guitars and Fender stuff, but I gotta say that Fenders micro amp sounds kinda shitty

  • If you sing or play an instrument you have to go to Top-musician com, upload a video of you singing or playing your instrument and you can win $1000 or more for having the most views.

  • I have the Orange Crush Pix 3w. I love this little amp. Really nice for practice.

  • Of course the orange kicks the crap out of the rest of those.

  • duuuude. That's a sick amp setup you got there omg.

  • i think marshall amps are better than fender amps, if marshall made guitars they would be better than fender. thats my opinion

  • Orange rules and everyone knows it.

  • orange was awesome

  • "Okay so the marshall is made of plastic" LOL

  • Which one would u recomend cuz im thinking on buying the orange micro crush

  • Orange FTW!

  • They are so coooooooooool :) I want that fender it sounds great!! :)

  • haha the orange is a very neat amp!

  • Hey dude i think it's good that someone review this micro/amps. but is not good that you talk about them as some "toy" and even call one of them "crap". they are portable amps for a musician man! i mean, you can play wherever you want to it's not for having it just to play at home.., Also the marshall and fender amp are pretty different distortion sound and i think both. and clean tones, a big difference and they sound goooood. and the orange one.. you used too much overdrive.

  • @Gitarp Dude! Man! Musical instruments are not made out of plastic. That is a TOY.

  • I have a Mini Fender Twin. It's really cool. It's made of ply and it's covered in tweed. What do you think of it? Has anyone else played one?

  • @milkshakeguy

I don't think so, these little amps in my experience tend to sound pretty boxy and blurry at their highest volumes, which is still pretty quiet. maybe check out the a Roland cube street, which is also battery powered

  • nice little toys:)

  • the fender one actually sounds nice IMO

  • haha lol, its a toy.

  • How loud can the orange get? would it be good for busking at the local farmer's market?

  • @Milkshakeguy not a chance aha

  • orange crush pix micro--good for rock solo---

    marshall micro--good for rock rhythm---

    fender micro---good for blues---

..so i'll go with the orange!

  • I just got the Marshall MS 2, I think it's the best one of those. It's the smallest (I wanted a small guy), it's a Marshall (fuckin cool) and yeah, it's just the best one to transport and stuff.

  • חמוד

  • mini amps all suck but the fender sucks the least. im a fender amp guy though. the orange is better than the marshall but the marshall has the advantage of being able to fit in a guitar case better

  • I though these were novelty items!?!?

  • Orange is really cool in my opinion. That WOOD. Gonna buy it for myself.

  • i own the marshall ms-4 full stack version is sounds good the amp sounds too clean even with the gain maxed i just throw in a distortion like a ml-2 metal core and a reverb pedal or a boss dd-3 delay pedal i hate the boxy sound that you get out of a mini amp and i use a fender strat too.

  • 4 me, the winne is the fender, the orange was to explode !

  • to me the marshall sounds the best, the orange is a close second

  • marshall sound 4/10

    fender2/10

    orange3/10

    do sound like crap!

  • you sound a bit like peter griffin from Family Guy xD

  • the winer: orange, but it make noise

  • I am a fan of marshall bigtime but the orange one is the shit!

  • Just got a Hodad mini amp, excelent sound but not as good as the orange. Limited for choice where i live but the Hodad is still a good choice.

  • That little orange isnt bad at all! would be a great practice amp if you travel a lot.

  • That Orange Crush thing actually sounds better than my Marshall MGDFX30. With the tuner as well, its a pretty sweet deal.

  • DOOONNG BUZZZZZ

  • wow great sound for the little dimension!

  • 3:13

    "ok, so"

    Alien voice FTW

  • orange is the best anyone know how much they cost

  • i got a pignose

  • Don't down the Marshall man! It's an awesome little amp. For half a watt it's decent.

  • your voice is SHIT

  • always plays plays everything with the bridge pickup. Too much glam rock for this guy

  • ORANGE amps are so hot! I'll never change...

  • Sounds like crap kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • I like the mini-Orange,plus it seems to have been built better, some metal not the plastic toy shit. It has better features, however i will always support & buy Fender as well as Marshall.

  • I love it when you said,"so that's about it... sounds like crap"!

The orange is cute but you can actually buy a little Marshall MG4 combo for the same price. Keep up the good work TTK

  • isnt any of these little amps to play METAL?

  • Comment removed

  • i fuck around with these in the music store i work at, and i found they sound a shit load better with single coils, obviously that makes sense but just saying.

  • the orange sounds the best

  • well no fucking way dude there plastic clip on amp dumb ass. there not suposed to be tubed there just to play around the house with

  • Marshall sounds like ass.

Fender, while sounding like ass with the less distorted, that has a lot more distortion.

And the Orange. Superior craftsmanship, but still sounds like ass.

I think they all suck, and people should just buy a Roland Micro Cube.

  • @AsAngelsFall221

I agree 100% except for the micro cube part.

    Get a Vox DA5 instead.

  • @SBguitar3592 I'm not too big on Vox, I'll check it out. I do know however for the money, the Micro Cube gets some big tone!

  • @AsAngelsFall221

Don't get me wrong the Micro Cube sounds phenominal, and the Hi-gain/rectifier models on it destroy any high gain model on the DA5, but for more classic, clean/slightly gritty British Vox/Fender tones, the DA5 is where it's at. My biggest turn off from the micro cube was that it had a built in delay, but no tap tempo button.

  • @SBguitar3592 if u want tap tempo and pounding distortion get the line 6 spider 75 watt

  • @AlexM1175

    1. the Line 6 Spider 75 isn't battery powered.

    2. I never said I wanted pounding distortion. I myself prefer the dirty english crunch you can only get from vox or marshall.

  • The fender has the best metal tone, wtf.

  • I still think i'm getting that MS-2 xD

I'm thinking of building it into my old guitar.. so I can never forget it :D

  • In Perfect Tune??? Check your ears.

  • Those would look great with a miniature Stonehenge.

  • @menolikeyfoxnews BAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • @WhatWouldDimeDo ...I'm glad someone got it.

  • wow tht Marshall sounds great

    how did u set it?

  • gave the kids cute and got yourself good...priceless

  • those might look cool on stage too!

agree with you the last micro-amp was best quality ~ sweet demo

  • id like to see what those bad boys in the back ground do =p

  • I can see why you like the orange! It looks like... Power in a small package!

  • The one thing you fucking noonbs/ show-offs don't know much about is that high end studios utilizes this micro amps in the recording process. To get the best high end tonality in any guitar tracks, engineer use these tiny amp to get that crisp highends. It's all in the mic and mic placement in addition to great room acoustics

  • My danelectro honeytone could those three outta the water

  • Hahaha i'll post my vote on these tiny things. Sound- Marshall.. Looks- Orange.. I bet with different settings on the Orange, I'd like it's sound more. BUT they all sound pretty bad, but would make fun little practice amps

  • static - x is shit

  • tru, they dont give u the best sound their is. But they arent so expensive, n its perfect to practice or just play around if u r on the road, on the real road where their arent any plugs to connect a normal practice amp to... And well u cant expect to have the same tone as a marshal tube amp or an orange tube amp on a 2 watt amp which runs on battery power n well its doesnt work with tubes!

  • one of those badboys right there haha nice

  • nice review, i actually had the fender twin mini a long time ago and wore it out to where it actually sounded much better than what I've heard here lol..

    Nice review =-)

  • perfect for the person who doesn't give a shit how they look or sound. but look pretty dinky and cool.

  • Uh, no I didn't ask you.

  • BTW tone is in your hands, not deep inside your bank account that got you 1000 amps to review on youtube. You dont have tone. keep on practicing brother.

  • if you gave the greatesr guitarist that little plastic battery powered amp it would not sound as good as a average guitarist through an orange full stack

  • @lectwar You dont know shit man. I once heard somewhere that Dimebag recorded one of his pantera songs through a Marshall MG practice amp. Lets see you release a mutli platinum album and one of those songs be recorded thru a practice amp.

  • and imagine what he would have sounded like if he recorded that same material through a marshal full stack...im not saying that a small amp will completely make you terrible...im just saying the bigger more expensive (to manufacture) amps typically provide better tone

  • @lectwar You dont know what you're talking about noob. it really doesnt matter the size of the amp if you're mic'd live. but besides that most of the tone comes from your hand... you just need a decent amp and know how to EQ it and ur set. having top notch everything will never make you a great guitarist. the band Static-X uses marshall MG amps live... believe it or not. and they sound amazing live.

  • I think you're all a bit off here ^^ A bigger amp in contrast to a smaller one does not necessarily give a better tone. It will certainly be DIFFERENT (even when mic'd), so to say that all large expensive amps are better than all small, less expensive amps is just an opinion, not a fact.

  • im not saying all large cabs and head combos sound better than a small 50 watt bedroom amp. Im just saying in most cases, almost all. The bigger amps have way more tone control. Allowing a person to provide better tone. But I have heard 50 watt amps that at a low mic volume can sound better than a couple half stacks ive played unless you stack a bunch of eq pedals and distortion on it

  • I see where you're getting at. But still that's your opinion, and I have mine, others have theirs! I just don't like to see pointless arguments like: "Kirk Hammet kix azz maddafakka Joe Satriani sux so hard yo !#RQR"... You know ^^'
