It's said that the 8 head rule is actually inaccurate. Usually the head fits into the body 6 and half times, the whole 8 head thing is from the Greeks and stuff, making boding have more 'godlike' proportions. And that's just men, women will probably be less than that most of the time. This was really helpful with the legs though, thankyou.

Good for raw beginners to get an idea, but fail for a 'talented' artist. Proportion is hard to master, especially without a ref, but some things seem obvious. The boobs look square, the collar bones are a lil` overly prominent, and the ribs are very straight and flat. :(

Right. But if I draw an equilateral triangle, her chin is going to be at about the bottom of her breasts. If I draw a right angled triangle, then her chin will be about her belly button. Using shapes of unspecified proportion to check your proportion is just stupid.
