Noo youre doing it all wrong. cut the price in half and then haggle down to the price you want if they say no walk away. if they say "okokokok yes come back" then say lower because they wouldn't take it :D theyll soon give up if they want a sale! :)
Haggling is easy, you state your price (which is about 1/3-1/2 of what they say it is) when they say no (which they always will) you walk away, they come crawling after you and begging for you to come back and you stick to your price. Simple.
Nice way of bargaining I'll try it one day. What your willing to pay is the main objective, however I doubt very much the vendor would have lost anything, he probably stole the items anyway lol.
In this kind of situation, the buyer will most likely got deceived!! Because the price is too low,the seller is not going to give out a good quality product. This is how they do business

Note to 1st timers in Shenzhen: have someone write down the name of your hotel in Chinese just in case you get lost/seperated and need to get a cab. Also: visit the nightlife area (by the big white ship). Need comfort food? Visit "The Red Rooster". Great burgers.
awesome... but why waste money for a crappy helicopter you can get on ebay while there are tons of fake bags and clothes just waiting for a new owner... and you can only get those there!

That mall was insane... but if you drive a hard bargain, and you have enough time to haggle, you can really get a good knock-off price.
