he is one of the lucky rock singers who never lost his voice. i love this band becuase they weren't into drugs as much as other bands. they played for the recognition. and i believe they are the most underrated bands ever.

In fact Klaus did some kind of surgery to his vocal chords(I am not sure i made myself clear,speaking of my spelling of course...)anyway i read it in a magazine but yeah still they weren't into drugs to the point that other famous bands lost their members......

@flippinaarin Klaus Meine lost his voice in the 80's just before Scorpions went on their 1st Major US tour and he had to re-train it. His voice came back stronger and so did the band for waiting for him.

He actually did lose his voice back around when they put out the blackout album. Don Dokken ended up singing for Scorps while Klaus recovered. After his surgery, he could sing better than ever. But it wasn't due to drugs.

Scorps is one of my favorite bands of all time!

as said, it wasn't the drugs damaging it, the voice was overstrained as far as i know. then he had to be operated and took some singing lessons and so he gained his voice back and as you see, he still can sing very well until now.

@LadyOfOdin. Yes Klaus Mein lost his voice so bad that he couldn't even speak normaly. He sang too high in the songs and didn't watch out. The best songs you can hear hi's high voice are: Now, Can't Get Enough, Dynamite, also some slower songs like We'll Burn The Sky, When The Smoke Is Going Down and much more. Klaus went through(if I remember right) 2 operations.
