  • I actually think whoever voices Andy really does have a great singing voice. Quite pretty really.

  • This film also features the beautiful and sensitive animation of the brilliant Hungarian-American animator, Tissa David, who herself was a protege of Grim Natwick, who designed Betty Boop and animated much of the title character in Snow White. The history of this film is detailed in a wonderful book by the great animator and animation historian John Canemaker. It is out of print, but worth searching for. Cheers!

  • has that camel been smoking some salvia? O_O

  • @KrazyChick17 Your comment seriously made me laugh so hard :)

  • oops i mean 9:45

  • 9:46 TRUTH

  • andy sounds familer? i know his voice some where?

  • This song makes me cry. I'm learning it on my guitar, and I'm going to perform it.

  • Andy says camels in the sky is crazy. Does he not think a blue camel is?

  • Well one good thing about this movie: when you have a good Joe Raposo song, Jim Henson will eventually get his hands on it and find a way to redeem it. (hint: Helen Reddy episode of "The Muppet Show"...)

  • I just realized: Seeing as how Dick Williams was constantly pestering messrs. Thomas and Johnston for tips, but then went on this flick and had the dolls not blink...

He inspired the bit in Illusion of Life: Disney Animation page 472 where they say 'You should never have characters who don't blink, doll-like charm my ass. They look fucking creepy.'

Holy balls, it really is a small world of animation.

  • 03:05 Look at Raggedy Andy

  • this is a big mint part of my childhood !!!!

  • The only thing that "doesnt seem to end" is the camels song....i like this movie a lot, but I skip his song...

  • "This is really weird..."

    UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY.

  • I like that Andy also notes this movie is weird.

  • Does the camel remind anyone else about Eor from Winnie the Pooh?

  • The camel's song is so depressing. :'( "Nobody's 'I love you'" I've felt this way so many times before so that hits home for me.

  • whats the name of the song home? when camel is trippin,

  • 9:45 My thoughts exactly, Andy.

  • Thumbs up if the Nostalgia Critic brought you here.

  • camel be trippin!

  • Blue Camel= A less evil version of Lotso from Toy Story 3?

  • Andy: This is really weird.

Oh, you're in for a ride, Andy; it's about to get weirder.

  • that camel was tripping LOOOOONNG before he met andy...

  • I love Ann and andy's song, wen they are in the forest

  • here's another fact that makes this movie kinda scary:

Raggedy Ann and Andy are the only charcters in the whole movie who dont blink their eyes!

  • @aquelescaraaaaaaaaaa Why's that scary?

  • I want to put that poor camel out of his misery :(

  • Sam's mom sounds like Joan Crawford!

  • I LOVE TOO MUCH THIS MOVIE (8)

  • I love the blue camel. I remember him from when I was a kid, and his song still makes me cry.

  • The camel is also in the Fleischer cartoon. Those who support the Ann and Andy pairing will love that cartoon.

  • 05:03 it is goin to be my wallpaper

  • OH IM CUMMIN!

  • 9:45 the movie in a nutshell

  • I haven't seen this since I was a kid, but I never forgot that damn camel's song.

  • I noticed at 3:10 the camel is voiced by some one else. Sounds like Pat Buttram (actor that did voices in Disney movies like The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, and The Fox and the Hound)

  • I noticed at 3:10that the camel is voiced by some one else. sounds like Pat Buttram

  • the camel reminds me of Eeyore...on acid lol

  • "I used to have sticks in my legs" you say? well maybe you should ask the old man with a wheel between his legs and four arms to open his head and fix that for you hmm?

  • also, ...... his back looks like two ball sacks....

  • WTF!!! o_O

  • This movie's like a spiritual experience...

That poor camel's chasing after his own delusions.

  • Did anybody notice they used the same 3-5 second clip when the Acid-Tripping Camel says either "How can you be happy?'' and "How can you be smiling?"

  • @yourpainfulnightmare Yeah I noticed it. Must've been when the budget ran out.

  • Why does everyone have a song in them doesn't anyone say yes or no anymore? If you want a musical number it has to have a point.

  • why is everyone surprised at the 'songs coming right after other songs'? its a musical...most musicals don't even have talking, its ALL singing.

also, incest implies a sexual relationship. there is nothing in this movie to suggest that these two are anything like that, and i'm annoyed that people keep saying that.

on the other hand, the camel is certainly on a drug trip.

  • That camel was crazy! If your seeing things and your the only one seeing it and its telling you home where you belong............uhm! can you sau suicide!

  • "This is really weird."

I like Andy. He has all the right reactions.

  • is it me, or was that caravan a metaphor for death? for a kids movie, thats pretty dark.

  • ...

Did I just watch a pair of siblings sing a love song to each other? D:

Andy's reactions to the camel are priceless, though. :D

  • @khymera915 : No different than the rest of the movie. Incestral siblings--because they were literally MADE for each other--LSD tripping Camel with suicidal depression, a horny pirate with a perhensile mustache, a French-speaking doll with a large bust, a self-cannibalizing candy creature that wants a "sweetheart" so bad that they'd murder for it, a gay pantless knight who lives off of cruel pranks, a tiny king who wants to be big & so developes a tickle fetish to expand ala a balloon, et al.

  • the camel is defiantly on drugs.

  • @KikyoChanXD AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEAHHHHHHH!

  • the song the camel sang made me start crying, so i got all my old stuffed animals that i left in my basement and brought them all back to my room and told them i was sorry )'':

  • @LuckyStar334 really?

  • @Michaelmyersrulz yeah...im really lame lol ehehehehehhh....

  • @LuckyStar334 I think that song is great! Very sad and folky and catchy. I've decided I'm going to cover it with my band.

  • A song right after a song? There kind of over doing it a bit.

  • "This is really weird..." Andy you have no idea.

  • Little bit too much singing if you ask me.... Kinda annoying at this age :D

but anyway, thx for posting, surely nice to get my childhood memories back :D

  • I absolutely love their surroundings when the camel is singing. All those stars are so sparkly, and everything is all cool and blue. Fucking beautiful.

  • I see where a lot of people are saying incest between the two, I may have to agree. When I watched this as a kid, I was confused. I mean, I understood that they were brother and sister but they acted more like boyfriend and girlfriend, like they were in love with each other. They seemed too close for comfort. :P

  • Yay, incest! Lol, sick people. I loved this when I was younger. Twisted!

  • @jadedxchild Me too .

  • Jesus Christ, there's a song for EVERYTHING!!

But I still like this movie so far.

  • @paxtofettel i know right

  • @paxtofettel lmao! I know right!?

  • @paxtofettel a MUSICAL adventure ,lol

  • @paxtofettel Yeah, you buy a packet of Skittels and it would result in a song! You can make a song out of anything

#I'm talking, I'm drinking my coffee and then I'm going to SLEEP!#

  • @paxtofettel

    16 total. ;D

    Personally, I love 'em.

  • I want what the camel's having.

  • Camel is the only reason why I even looked for this vid

  • @TJthunderstrike me to x-D

  • sooo... the camel was tripping on LSD??!! what the hell was i watching as a kid XD lmfao

  • LSD,LSD camel is on fucking LSD!! and Andy knows it. XDDD dude look at his eyes. 0.o

  • I know the camel looks like he's having a trip, but listen to the song the caravan is singing! Isn't it beautiful? I think it is.

  • I think when I was little it never registered in my brain that Anne and Andy were siblings because I always pretended they would get married or be boyfriend and girlfriend. Ahh to be an innocent child again where nothing is "disturbing, or wrong"

  • 05:02 look at raggedy andy's face

  • 09:45

    "...This is really weird."

For some reason I cracked up at his expression and the way Andy said it XD

  • @KayneArcheron So, did I. Andy's expressions when talking to the camel I think are some of the best parts of this movie. It's like the movie itself becomes self aware, and realizes how fucking weird it really is.

  • @wimwup Why is it a disturbing? Siblings tend to be close, even if you hate each other's guts sometimes. You'd want your bro or sis to cheer you up in a scary or sad situation right?

  • @mmecharlotte Not that close. Not even close to that close... that's a little too close

  • @mmecharlotte Yeah, but there is a difference between being close to your sibling, and being TOO close to your sibling.

  • For an elderly camel with achy joints, he sure does dance well.

  • Is anyone having problems viewing part 3? I click on part 3 and youtube sends me to some internet 500 page about copying code down and sending codes to monkeys.

  • What's up with the saggy camel doll? He looks & sounds like he's on weed and crack!

  • @ShadowGuyful Trust me, there's no other way to explain why he see's a caravan of colourful camels in the sky singing a hypnotizing chant

  • @Kawiia17 I've actually heard it said that since following the camels led him over a cliff, it was a manifestation of a death wish.

  • I'm not going to lie, the person who does Andy's voice has a very talented singing voice

  • Btw, that sure is a weird song to sing to your sister or brother... kind of disturbing...

  • @WumWip that's suppose to show care for them.

  • Raggedy Ann sort of sounds like Lisa Simpson...

  • @WumWip Yeah, it's Didi from grease.

  • @hiimme14

    Yardly Smith?

  • @hiimme14: I thought she was called "Frenchie"? She also played Stacy Jones in Shining Time Station with Thomas the Train and the Island of Sodor, as recalled by either Ringo Starr or George Carlin as Mr. Conductor.

  • The camel was on an LSD trip for a few minutes. But I love the song!!! =D

  • Andy has such a nice voice..

  • @Emi212

I agree! Who did the voice for him?

  • @WumWip Oh I forget his name... I think it's like Mark Baker or something...

  • @Emi212

    Yes, Mark Baker IX

  • OMG, thank you SO Much for posting this! I saw this years ago and I absolutely LOVE the song about being "Lowdown Saggy And Blue" that the camel sings. For years I tried to figure out how I could hear it again. I was hoping to find this on DVD, but this is even better!

  • Lol the Camel's on drugs : D But other than that, very nice animation : D

  • This movie has too many songs.

  • @PowerRangerFanatic6 I know. And only a few are actually enjoyable.

  • @Emi212 Now you say, i would have felt sorry for blue camel, if his song wasn't this freakin' long. The same goes for the greedy!

  • @PowerRangerFanatic6

    That's why it's called A Musical Adventure!!! =P

  • @WumWip I know, but in general a song in a musical movie doesn't even take that long, it is still too long!

  • @PowerRangerFanatic6

    Well, I guess you're right.

Some songs in this movie are pointless, but most of them are good.
