I didn't realise it when I originally uploaded this PIF, but the girl who's briefly seen in the back of the first car is Linda 'Birds Of A Feather' Robson.
Certainly had an effect on my hubby, he remembers it well. I'm a bit younger and can't remember any drink driving ones from the 80's/90's, can remember being terrified of getting Aids due to the campaigns when i was at school.
I'm gonna get the law on you mate! I remember my parents driving while absolutely pissed when I was a kid. But those days are well and truly over. Even a youngster like me(35!) remembers the occasional slightly pissed drive. Brilliant fun, quite rightly illegal!
@CharitableView yeah, Im 32 and my dad used to drive us kids back all the time after a many a happy summer evening spent in country pub gardens. We used to dare him to drive on the wrong side of the road, and sometimes he would. It's the sort of thing that would horrify me now, but everybody used to drink and drive.
The one thing that struck me about these campaigns at that time was that the drivers involved were always Cockneys! WHY?! Was that because they drank their fill at "The Ol' Bull And Bush"? And they say that "EastEnders" is bad. Mike S.
This one I REALLY remember, funny how something so simple can carry on working 26 years later! Maybe the bright young things that are in advertising nowadays should revamp this advert EXACTLY just with 21st century cars and clothes! (but hey, I guess they won't! I guess the basics are just hard for them nowadays!!! Think about it, Can you remember the 2006 Christmas drink drive message)
fucking grass!...oh well,it was just a cockney wanker!....lol.

It can cost you one hell of a lot more than your license. I guess they didn't like talking about death back then.

It was "Crash", the one they've been using since, what, 2003, and only just changed.
