How stupid is this test? If you're driving with that kind of vehicle, you're not concerned with power. If you are towing a trailer it's even worse. This thing would have only 120 HP it would make no difference as long as it's capable to tow that trailer you really need.
BTW speeding up with a trailer is a very bad idea.

These tests don't mean much. Test drive one of each and you'll see how they suit you. There will be drawbacks and advantages to each and every one. I still don't understand why we can't have a diesel option in a half-ton though???

@GfByZach gas and diesel have no comparison. and if Toyota puts the caterpillar diesel under their hood, then by all means. sure. i cant find it so it doesnt count yet, but a guy somewhere on youtube has a tundra that places second and third, maybe first a time or two, and the diesel guys wont allow him to supercharge his tundra, and pulls sleds right along with them, and has yet to report any repairs except for a bearing, after one hundred pulls.

jnsleeper1, you are wrong. I will agree that the Titan and Tundra are not built as durable, but they are great trucks. Potent engines, drive amazing, and plenty of other features. I swore I'd never buy Japanese, but then I drove a Titan and had to have one. It felt just like any Silverado I've had but only better.

Now I really hate these guys.
The title is LOADED trucks.
They waste 30 sec at leader.
No fkg trailers @ 1:16 to 1:27, then again @ 1:48 to 1:52. WTF.
No time stamp through the traps.
@ 2:41, he claims the Ford goes to convertor lockup under acceleration load.
No vehicle locks up their convertor under full load throttle when accelerating, period, until you back off to cruise mode.
Going in & out of lock up in casual driving, is what tears them apart if allowed all day.

@gardmans1 well... ford puts a 5.4 up against a 6.2 and ford also runs a 3.55 rear, so id say they r not to worried about that 1.6 seconds that they r slower but more focused on towing the most with the least amount of problems and the best fuel mileage. Who tows 10k with a half ton and gasses it at a red light trying to race...lol

These tests don't mean much. Test drive one of each and you'll see how they suit you. There will be drawbacks and advantages to each and every one. I still don't understand why we can't have a diesel option in a half-ton though???

well this proves everything... next time i have a loaded trailer and some guy pulls next to me with the same exact thing on his trailer, we can race. as long as a truck can pull it safely is what matters. durability in the long run is what matters and i think the old trucks before all this computer crap wins in that field.

@lapurisima09 I pull my goose neck with my titan from south carolina to ohio all the time at least 12 times a month never given me any trouble. Does pretty well pulling a loaded trailer for arabian riding championships up moutains at 80mph on a gas engine. My daughters team rider has a tundra and his pulls just fine up the hills as wells and beats me in the straight aways. Btw dumb ass all truck bodies are dipped in zinc oxide the prevent rust so learn a thing or tow before opening your mouth.

@lamboisking The only catch is the TRD is the suspension. they do not come equipped with the supercharger. that is a bone stock 5.7 that out weighs the competition. and the tundra stock actually is as quick as the new 5.4 supercharged but not the new raptor. but supercharged, it is. you can google both and type in What is the 0-60 speed comparison of the supercharged tundra and the new 6.2 raptor?

@Motorfordtoyota . actually the Japanese still own the engineering and ideas. they do have the final say-so. Toyota is still a Japanese vehicle, even though they do have more American parts on them than the Dodge, the Tundra anyway. I just can't figure out why a lot of people fuss when other people buy Toyota, claiming that it isnt supporting America. IF they would do their homework they would know. You are right, the money stays here. Toyota still makes autos in Japan, one of mine is from there

Shevy's are all flash, try to work them and their short comings become clear. For example look at the oil filter, the leaf springs, the cheap sheet metal used all over the truck. I keep hearing shevy owners write how fantastic their trucks are: not one problem except the fuel pump! All of the Ford F150's I've ever owned have never left me stranded on the road. How many silverado owvers can say that.
