how do premiers work for the Ziegfeld Theatre? is the street shut down? how long before the red carpet arrivals start to people start lining up? thanks!

A former-employee said that "they shut down the block but there is always room for fans! .. Just pass by ... and you'll know for sure if something is going on that day... They never advertise premieres but ... they start setting up in the afternoon ... the movie stars start arriving at around seven in the evening. [To] get a good view arrive early at about three. Ask an employee about any upcoming premieres.... [For] a premiere we were always asked to wear a fucking monkey-suit with a bow-tie!"
