It's interesting how all these 'legendary' movies and movies set in ancient times almost always have the Brit accent - PoP, 300, Alexander, Gladiator etc. Very rarely do you find these kind of movies having the American drawl thrown in. I guess it's just that the British/Gallic/Celtic regions had a much larger and probably the only influence over the ancient nations and kingdoms - long before 1492 ever happened, which is why directors prefer using the Brit accent & of course it sounds better! :D
