  • Hi. I agree Zim is a fantastic pianist. I do like having more of an edge in Liszt's music. He does a great job here with intelligent pedalling. Ron Paul. He could be the best choice for president. He combines the morality of Republicans with a more pacific Democrat foreign policy. Thank you for the video

  • There's something about Zimerman....I don't know what it is. He seems to give the music more life than any other pianist I've ever heard. Horowitz sometimes gets close, but Zimerman has that extra something that just cannot be put into words....not by me anyway. As good as Zimerman is on das Klavier, it reminds me of how ideal Ron Paul is as a presidential choice. Perfection....or as close as we've gotten to it in many decades.

  • great

  • It's a pity that we don't have master-grade music composers nowadays, pianists now just play others pieces instead of composing.

But we all know Zimerman plays music with startling clarity, musical feeling.

  • What is better? This Liszt concerto or Brahms concerto 2?

  • @Gargantupimp your mom

  • Das versteht ihr nicht, haha!

  • We will know that this is a better world when videos like this one will have 26.000.000 views :D

  • @gabsart I think there wont be 26 million views to this ever. Why? Zimerman wouldnt be playing at the piano dressed like a clown with 10 giant gold chains on his neck spanking girls or Martha Argerich dressed like a slut while sat on the piano. That's what really sells "music", the top slut, the best clown. I hope that time never comes, so lets enjoy real music and feel sorry for the people who can't appreciate this.

  • @marvinracer88

I didn't need those images. lol.

  • Amazing piece!

  • This is great!! His Ravel concerti are absolutely spectacular too!

  • You had a good idea linking the site where is possible to buy this disc. Support the music and its artists! :D

  • Majestuoso, realmente majestuoso.

  • One of my favorite movements of any concierto i've ever heard.

  • argerich is MILES behind... i definately think that she is THE pianist (of the ones still alive) to listen to when it comes to romantic piano, but I humbly think she didn't reach this piece's combination of ferocity, subtlety and finesse even at 1% of Zimmerman mastery!

  • Franz liszt is the devil himself

his music is sevil and cool

  • Bloody lovely recording and performance - must get this!

  • Beautiful sound

  • Makes me find harmony. at last!!

  • Another phenomenal Cd

  • zimerman has a very beautiful sound!!

    and this concert is wonderful!!

  • este é um dos melhores cd's a todos os niveis, uma das melhores gravações que conheço.

  • ZIMERMAN ROCKS as always

  • Krystian Zimerman is divine in every Cd he made,he's a genius like Michelangeli.

  • proprio ieri sono stata ad un suo concerto, mio Dio che emozione, ho pure l'autografo XD...scherzi a parte, la sua musica, il suo genio, le sue mani mi hanno profondamente segnato, non ho parole, è semplicemente divino.

  • parousia555, commericialized dramatizations of albulm covers are marketing driven. zimmerman is one of the best pianists out there, much better than you. he is known for his very moderate, controlled, and soothing tempo. so do ur own homework before you go make generalizations and assumptions.

  • This is a 'soothing' tempo? Are you joking?

  • It is soothing where Liszt wanted it to be and not soothing where Liszt wanted it not to be.

  • parousia555 , what the heck are you talking about? They show the pianist with that far away stare? That is the portrait of Franz Liszt himself. You speak as though you know quite a lot about his music but you don't even recognize...

  • oh my god, it was quite entertaining to read the comments. thanks guys, you really made me laugh^^ great record btw..

  • The "far away stare" is Liszt's.... not the pianist's

  • My mistake

  • Lol, you're criticising one of the greatest pianists in history

  • Says u

  • You blathering idiot. That is LISZT's image. Who are you to criticise him?

  • The Public

  • I agree with you in one respect for some reason the piano always sounds harsh on Deutsche Grammophon it must down either to the engineers or the technology the label uses but orchestral works sound much better.

  • god you're dumb.

  • you're kidding me right? Commenting on Liszt's portrait, I hope?
